+ 100 points for the shyt talking co-pilot riding shotgun
only defeated by a CBR 600RR. only closely matched by a modded Z06 and killing everything else in sight. Why.......................

Stegall 09-14-2004, 09:11 PM doubt that engine will last....
badass though
Cosby 09-15-2004, 12:21 AM His best was 10.91 in the video. I intend to beat that. Also, his 60 ft times are doodoo. He needs some slicks or something.
that 611 hp eclipse would own that truck.
Cosby 09-15-2004, 06:36 AM cbr 600 rr = 11.20 1/4 mile time
or 6.87@105mph at Greer all stock. friend has one.
preludedude 09-15-2004, 10:23 AM its funny cause as he is dogging it on the streets, you can hear them say "its sounds like a damn airplane"..i bet that thing is loud as hell..

id like to put that turbo on the dodge. i dont think they even make a kit yet...
My best 60' is 1.63sec. I tried to turn up the shot coming out of the hole, but that resulted in a 4wheel drift move that was pretty much out of control. I am still running on the stock 265/75/16 Firestones that came with the truck
guess he launches in 4 hi.
Cosby 09-15-2004, 11:46 AM His average 60' is well over 2 seconds and a few were like 4 seconds I think.
i think he was just launching in 2wd on those passes. i would like to see him pull a 1.63 like he says he did on offroad tires.
Cosby 09-15-2004, 01:39 PM Im not all that impressed with his 60's ... not with 4wd
parish8 09-17-2004, 04:44 PM i think he was just launching in 2wd on those passes. i would like to see him pull a 1.63 like he says he did on offroad tires.
that top vid is the best 60' and was a 1.63 for the 10.91 run. worst 60' run was a 1.72. the truck will need something better than stock factory tires to do any better.
where are these 2-4sec 60' times coming from.
SpartanTS 09-17-2004, 04:51 PM Whoa, his very first post has a "roll eyes" in it.
SpartanTS 09-17-2004, 04:55 PM BTW, at the 11 @ 120MPH run, his 60' was 4.04. (the second to last run on the video)
That's where he got the 4 second 60' from.
Here you go parish8
parish8 09-17-2004, 05:04 PM you are mistaken. that time that comes up is the reaction time. 4.xx means .4 reaction time. 2.xx is a .200reaction time. if you watch the first run is 0.20
the worst 60' of any of those runs was a 1.72
Stegall 09-17-2004, 09:50 PM hey parish,

welcome to illstreet. who makes the turbo kit on your truck? i think i looked on your site but dont remember seeing. i <3 sleepers and your truck is a pretty good one.
Cody
parish8 09-18-2004, 05:25 AM thanks for the props.
i can see where all the files are going off of my server. there are several programs that organize the informtion into cool charts and lists. i like to back track the links to see what people are saying.
a company called combination motorsports in vegas made the kit.
SpartanTS 09-18-2004, 04:33 PM ^ He knows his stuff :)
Welcome
SpartanTS 09-18-2004, 05:26 PM aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh, you're Parish from the http://www.neufamily.org forums?
my old cheap DNS offered that. pretty nice feature.
a company called combination motorsports in vegas made the kit.
The design of your kit looks exactly like my friends HP Performance turbo kit. Did they do any of the work? Being in New Mexico and Combination in Vegas im not rly sure how far those two are from each other...
JPAccord 09-19-2004, 08:22 PM neato truck.
Cosby 09-20-2004, 06:00 PM Yeah, we were talking about that in an IM. The tracks around here show the 60' and then switch to the E/T at the end. It looked like the 60' time was absurdly high for such a low e/t. Thanks for the clarification. Welcome to the forums. What are your future plans for the truck?
parish8 09-20-2004, 06:28 PM hmm, future plans :)
short term plans are a "little" more boost and work out some tuning issues. try and get consistant 10's so far i have only done the one 10sec run.
then a little more traction. i would have this done by now but finding sticky tires that fit on these trucks that are not real short is dificult. right now it looks like some 305/45/18 nittos all the way around are the best i can do. it is still a prety short tire but the best i can do. 4 of those should hook prety good i think.
thats short term, long term is a built stroker motor with about 50 more cubes, lower compresion, better heads and killer head sealing. max out the 76 and shoot about 200 on top of that. try and pull 1000rwhp out of it. :drooling:
Cosby 09-21-2004, 09:37 AM A lot of guys have S10s with 350s swapped in, you'd think there would be a multitude of slicks for trucks.

because of the brakes on my truck i can only get 16" or larger rims on there. i could go 15" but only if i had some crazy offset and let 1/2 of the wheel hang out from under the truck.
in 16" and larger rims there are very few tire sizes avaliable. most companys only offer 1 16" drag radial size and it is only 26" tall. my stock tires are 32" tall. 26' tires would look silly and i am not just looking for a track set up. i want something i can run most of the time.
