oneflytrini 08-07-2005, 10:50 PM Does anyone know how to put videos on the fone? Mine came with this "hellomoto" video. My provider is Cingular. I've only had the fone for a few days, and read through the entire manual. Its says that I can send video messages, but metions nowhere as how to get them on the fone. P.S. I think rx7club deleted the "lounge". I dont see the link for it ANYWHERE. TIA, ALI darkfrost 08-07-2005, 11:00 PM P.S. I think rx7club deleted the "lounge". I dont see the link for it ANYWHERE. I see it just fine... maybe you are logged out... or banned from the lounge, lol wonner 08-07-2005, 11:03 PM I see it just fine... maybe you are logged out... or banned from the lounge, lol banned for being a traitor! darkfrost 08-07-2005, 11:07 PM Guilty, I surf both. Actually, I really just started posting and reading on this forum today. Joined a while back though. SpartanTS 08-07-2005, 11:09 PM You need a mini USB cable I believe. That's how I transfer them to the memory card on my MPx200. You'll need some software to do it though, so check out this site. www.motomodders.net Manntis 03-20-2006, 09:45 PM just got a razr. These things're pretty slick! Supper 03-20-2006, 09:53 PM I've been banned from the 7club since the white power thread. anyhoo... I have a Razr as well, don't really care for it that much, but its still way better then the old phone. With that said, you need to go download the motorola connect client and install it on your computer, then plug your phone in via the supplied USB adapter and then you can transfer just about anything you want that way (ring tones, pics, videos, etc) Know a couple people that have a whole bunch of porn, like a whole SIM card full, on their Razr. Manntis 03-20-2006, 10:00 PM yeah, checking out the motomodders link Spartan provided... hoping to find decent ring tones. Mine's a V3c. What dontcha like about yours? Zero 03-20-2006, 10:10 PM howardforums.com Supper 03-20-2006, 10:14 PM What dontcha like about yours? meh, just not what everyone had chalked them up to be. and up here in the big wideopen and unpopulated, it gets shit reception. it was built for people that live in cities with cell towers every few miles max. instead of up here where they are 50miles apart if you are lucky. Zero 03-20-2006, 10:16 PM Why the razr sucks: 1: the keypad blows. 2: it's twice as wide as any other phone and feels awkward. 3: it's a status symbol among ghettogers. Say No To Pistons 03-20-2006, 10:18 PM Why the razr sucks: 1: the keypad blows. 2: it's twice as wide as any other phone and feels awkward. 3: it's a status symbol among ghettogers. werd... the keypad gets worn and old looking fast. within 2 months the keypad got werd brown stuff on it adns tarted peeling.. it doesnt even look like metal... the reception sucks... its over rated.. Manntis 03-20-2006, 10:24 PM hmmm... good thing it was free Though I must say, the reception seems better than my Samsung - and I tend to like the Samsung phones (except that cheap feeling, gimmicky twist-screen one they came out with) Tofuball 03-20-2006, 11:47 PM I like my razr, but like most Moto phones, it has some pretty weird issues. (Loud beeping to tell you the battery is low even when the phone is set on silent, alarms going off on weekends when set to only go off on weekdays, etc) Also, the verizon software loaded on mine and my wife's phone keeps crashing. I'm pretty happy with the reception, it is rather good compared to my friend's phones and my old phones. The camera isnt totally useless (as I expected it to be) and the batteries last long enough. I really like the fact that the phone can charge off a USB cable. Animal 03-20-2006, 11:52 PM new phones in general kinda feel flimsy and breaky. The phone I have was built when cellphone towers were 50mi apart, so it gets pretty good reception just about anywhere. The only place I've found anywhere near where I live where the signal drops below two "bars" is in my office. Lots of transformers and electrical noise, and the walls are all aluminum. There's something to be said about a 6+ year old phone that's still going strong... Manntis 03-21-2006, 01:20 AM yeah, in rural areas around here a lot of people still use 'bag' phones as car cellulars. Old, analog, and clunky but worth their weight in gold since they have range. Digital signals get fragmented by trees, hills, etc. fcdrifter13 03-21-2006, 01:27 AM I need to pay my bill, thanks for the 100$ reminder guys. I didnt like my Razr as I have stated in different threads. I broke it to easily, and besides supper I am probably the ruffest on phones. The only flip phone I like Is my V55 or something like that. But my all time favorite is the nokia I have. I get reception everywhere, it will not break Ive tried, and the battery life is about a week long wih it on 24/7 and me on it all the time. SpartanTS 03-21-2006, 09:55 AM I wouldn't ever buy a Razr, let alone another Motorola phone after the last experience I had with my MPx200. Great phone with great functionality, but the reception was subpar, and with Windows Mobile 2003, it crashed once a day. Supper 03-21-2006, 10:15 AM yeah, in rural areas around here a lot of people still use 'bag' phones as car cellulars. Old, analog, and clunky but worth their weight in gold since they have range. Digital signals get fragmented by trees, hills, etc. we have three of them in the company, and let me tell you they are awesome out in the field :bigthumb: Manntis 03-21-2006, 02:23 PM It's sadly ironic that the RAZR came with a wireless headset so I rarely even flip it open to see that fancy keypad or large screen. I like it's thin-ness, though - less of a bulge pressing against the bolstering when I'm in the car. BATMAN 03-21-2006, 02:46 PM I like the thiness, but when i get a call and reach in my pocket it's hard to tell which side/end I'm picking up. Flipping it open requires a little more TLC or it might pop outta my hand. And why doesn't it vibrate and ring at the same time? There's probably a few other nice-to-haves on my list....... DarkAngelKamui 03-21-2006, 02:58 PM And why doesn't it vibrate and ring at the same time? :werd: This is what pissed me off about the phone as well SpartanTS 03-21-2006, 03:21 PM And why doesn't it vibrate and ring at the same time? Every Moto I've had lately (last 2 years) has been that way. Even my girl's V500 is exactly the same way. JPAccord 03-21-2006, 04:13 PM Glad I know that now. I won't be getting a Motorola any time soon in that case, that's one of my favorite features of my current phone. Supper 03-21-2006, 04:27 PM you guys just have retarded phones. Mine has several settings for vibrate. Vibrate only, Vibrate then Ring, and Vibrate and Ring. VaB is what mine is set on all the time other then when its plugged in. Manntis 03-21-2006, 05:12 PM yeah, I can't find a vibrate-and-ring function either :( BATMAN 03-21-2006, 05:39 PM I held the "Pebble" and it felt more ergonomic in the hand. Not thin, but smaller. Sorta like holding a pebble. Too bad it's sold through some shitty Nextal/Sprint. Fucking Verizon gets the old shit and boring shit. BTW, why can't that *missed call* sky-blue bar on the bottom fucking disappear on it's own or with the touch of the end button? Why do i have to press a button for it to show the time? Does that littel screen really eat up that much power? BATMAN 03-21-2006, 05:40 PM My favorite phones were LG, Samsung and Nokia. Nokia was the easiest to use. A good phone is one where i NEVER have to look at the manual even once and can start using it immediately. cool3865 03-21-2006, 06:33 PM yea cell phones built from 99-01 are the best BATMAN 03-21-2006, 06:51 PM and u can't activate most of the older ones since they don't have some GPS device in there to track ur ass......... JPAccord 03-21-2006, 07:04 PM I've got a Samsung A-890 through Verizon and I love it. This is my third Samsung phone, and i'll probably stick with them because all the controls and layouts are the same, just new features with newer models. rx-7_Z06 03-21-2006, 09:26 PM My razr has a vibrate and ring function. I never had to use the manual to figure out my razr. Its pretty straight forward. Manntis 03-21-2006, 09:30 PM and u can't activate most of the older ones since they don't have some GPS device in there to track ur ass......... Mine lets you deactivate the GPS rx-7_Z06 03-21-2006, 09:37 PM same! I can turn that crap off. rtryb2200 03-22-2006, 12:54 AM I have a sweet motorola v60i....I have gone through so many phones that the damn insurance dropped me. Now I just buy used ones off of ebay. Manntis 03-22-2006, 03:01 AM insurance for phones? Don't your carriers provide that as a free service? Anyone here use an oakley razrwire? Animal 03-22-2006, 03:46 AM and u can't activate most of the older ones since they don't have some GPS device in there to track ur ass......... I had to sign this waiver to activate mine because it doesn't have a GPS in it. And the vibrate-then-ring thing... mine's got that. Vibrates the first two or three ring cycles, then rings till it gets sent to voicemail. Service and keypad beeps are still audible. The silent mode makes it -silent-. No keypad/service beeps, just vibrate for alert. rtryb2200 03-22-2006, 04:38 AM No all the places around here charge for the insurance as extra something like 3-5 bucks extra a month SpartanTS 03-22-2006, 09:53 AM I've been buying all my phones online for years. I can just take my SIM card and pop it in the new phone without a contract and my carrier will never know. Been doing that for quite some time now. rxtasy 03-22-2006, 12:14 PM I've been buying all my phones online for years. I can just take my SIM card and pop it in the new phone without a contract and my carrier will never know. Been doing that for quite some time now. that's a great idea, but don't u have to continue using simular phones? i'm sure not all phones use the same SIM card. SpartanTS 03-22-2006, 12:16 PM that's a great idea, but don't u have to continue using simular phones? i'm sure not all phones use the same SIM card. All GSM phones use SIM Card technology. My current 32k SIM has worked for the last 3 phones i've had over the past 2 years. Even the newer phones that use a 64k SIM card are backward compatible with 32k SIM cards, but some network features (hi-speed internet in the case of Cingular) won't work. Manntis 03-22-2006, 03:27 PM hrmmm... for some reason MPT is having trouble connecting to the handset... SpartanTS 03-22-2006, 04:10 PM Mobile Phone Tools is pretty crappy software, and i've known of many people who've had trouble with it. Go to MotoModders.net and download P2k Commander. BATMAN 03-22-2006, 05:06 PM it's bullshit that i have to pay .10 everytime i get an unsolicated text message spam. Manntis 03-22-2006, 09:49 PM Mobile Phone Tools is pretty crappy software, and i've known of many people who've had trouble with it. Go to MotoModders.net and download P2k Commander.
