Does anyone know how to put videos on the fone? Mine came with this "hellomoto" video. My provider is Cingular. I've only had the fone for a few days, and read through the entire manual. Its says that I can send video messages, but metions nowhere as how to get them on the fone.

Guilty, I surf both. Actually, I really just started posting and reading on this forum today. Joined a while back though.

You need a mini USB cable I believe. That's how I transfer them to the memory card on my MPx200. You'll need some software to do it though, so check out this site.

I have a Razr as well, don't really care for it that much, but its still way better then the old phone.

With that said, you need to go download the motorola connect client and install it on your computer, then plug your phone in via the supplied USB adapter and then you can transfer just about anything you want that way (ring tones, pics, videos, etc)

Know a couple people that have a whole bunch of porn, like a whole SIM card full, on their Razr.

meh, just not what everyone had chalked them up to be.

and up here in the big wideopen and unpopulated, it gets shit reception.

it was built for people that live in cities with cell towers every few miles max. instead of up here where they are 50miles apart if you are lucky.

Why the razr sucks:

1: the keypad blows.
2: it's twice as wide as any other phone and feels awkward.
3: it's a status symbol among ghettogers.

werd... the keypad gets worn and old looking fast. within 2 months the keypad got werd brown stuff on it adns tarted peeling.. it doesnt even look like metal... the reception sucks... its over rated..

Though I must say, the reception seems better than my Samsung - and I tend to like the Samsung phones (except that cheap feeling, gimmicky twist-screen one they came out with)

I like my razr, but like most Moto phones, it has some pretty weird issues. (Loud beeping to tell you the battery is low even when the phone is set on silent, alarms going off on weekends when set to only go off on weekdays, etc)

Also, the verizon software loaded on mine and my wife's phone keeps crashing.

I'm pretty happy with the reception, it is rather good compared to my friend's phones and my old phones. The camera isnt totally useless (as I expected it to be) and the batteries last long enough. I really like the fact that the phone can charge off a USB cable.

new phones in general kinda feel flimsy and breaky.

The phone I have was built when cellphone towers were 50mi apart, so it gets pretty good reception just about anywhere. The only place I've found anywhere near where I live where the signal drops below two "bars" is in my office. Lots of transformers and electrical noise, and the walls are all aluminum.

There's something to be said about a 6+ year old phone that's still going strong...

I need to pay my bill, thanks for the 100$ reminder guys. I didnt like my Razr as I have stated in different threads. I broke it to easily, and besides supper I am probably the ruffest on phones. The only flip phone I like Is my V55 or something like that. But my all time favorite is the nokia I have. I get reception everywhere, it will not break Ive tried, and the battery life is about a week long wih it on 24/7 and me on it all the time.

I wouldn't ever buy a Razr, let alone another Motorola phone after the last experience I had with my MPx200. Great phone with great functionality, but the reception was subpar, and with Windows Mobile 2003, it crashed once a day.

It's sadly ironic that the RAZR came with a wireless headset so I rarely even flip it open to see that fancy keypad or large screen. I like it's thin-ness, though - less of a bulge pressing against the bolstering when I'm in the car.

I like the thiness, but when i get a call and reach in my pocket it's hard to tell which side/end I'm picking up.

Flipping it open requires a little more TLC or it might pop outta my hand.

Every Moto I've had lately (last 2 years) has been that way. Even my girl's V500 is exactly the same way.

Glad I know that now. I won't be getting a Motorola any time soon in that case, that's one of my favorite features of my current phone.

Mine has several settings for vibrate. Vibrate only, Vibrate then Ring, and Vibrate and Ring.

VaB is what mine is set on all the time other then when its plugged in.

I held the "Pebble" and it felt more ergonomic in the hand. Not thin, but smaller. Sorta like holding a pebble.

My favorite phones were LG, Samsung and Nokia.

Nokia was the easiest to use.

A good phone is one where i NEVER have to look at the manual even once and can start using it immediately.

I've got a Samsung A-890 through Verizon and I love it. This is my third Samsung phone, and i'll probably stick with them because all the controls and layouts are the same, just new features with newer models.

I had to sign this waiver to activate mine because it doesn't have a GPS in it.

And the vibrate-then-ring thing... mine's got that. Vibrates the first two or three ring cycles, then rings till it gets sent to voicemail. Service and keypad beeps are still audible. The silent mode makes it -silent-. No keypad/service beeps, just vibrate for alert.

All GSM phones use SIM Card technology. My current 32k SIM has worked for the last 3 phones i've had over the past 2 years. Even the newer phones that use a 64k SIM card are backward compatible with 32k SIM cards, but some network features (hi-speed internet in the case of Cingular) won't work.
