Showing up as random numbers (3.5gb is a very common one) is a flaw in xp once you get to 4gb. At least... as cheap as it is I wouldn't sacrifice a slot for 512mb... 99% of desktop motherboards have 4 dimm slots. the shaolin 08-11-2008, 01:32 AM 2gb in my desktop, 1gb in my laptop.
