Would someone please tell me what the hell the deal is with the GTR symbols on Mustangs??  I'm seeing more and more of those things in the greenville area.  I hope someone who actually has a GTR sticker on their car reads this, if it happens, please.......TAKE IT OFF, GTR IS A SKYLINE YOU IDIOT, A NISSAN, NOTHING TO DO WITH FRIGGIN FORD.  Damn Flamers

actually they made a mustang gt with a roush &nbsp;package &nbsp;that was called a GT-R but the badges were diff. &nbsp;istill like the suzuki swift type-R that me and will saw on pleasntburg the night we raced the nitrous breathing dodge peeon, that was still slow

Well check this out... it's very lame... there actually was a concept Neon GTS before which was supercharged on the first gen neons, then of course the new concept neon &quot;S R/T&quot; which is a super charged 2nd gen neon, neither have gone to production, the SRT is supposed to.....

They actually make a REAL Tiburon Type R. &nbsp;It's only in korea, and the engine from them is far superior to the engines over here. &nbsp;That is until the 2.7 litre tibby comes over here in mid-late 2002. &nbsp;It's gonna be fast. &nbsp;hehe

He says that it means that they were modified. &nbsp;i guess that means that they were modified w/ 40 lb chrom wheels and 80 lb systems in the trunk

The GTR symbols on a Mustang stand for the Rouge edition but those r not the original symbols. and for the neon boy he couldnt beat a moped I had a neon they &quot;or at least the one I had&quot; r extremely slow

Neons are aight, but most people just RICE them out, like that guy. &nbsp;I mean they aren't the fastest things in the world, but stock vs stock they are faster then Civics (non 00'SI's), Foci, Cavaliers and other shiat like that..........

Yea they made a GT-R Roush, but what I'm seeing are idiots putting SKYLINE GTR symbols on there cars, the Nissan GTR and Roush GT-R symbols look nothing alike anyway. &nbsp;Also love it when they leave the GT emblem on as well, that makes it even funnier

Naw i think the sweetest thing is the S13 body with the Silvia S15 headlights and the old skyline brakelights, look at Signals Drifting Sil Eighty that was in a recent superstreet, was Majora Galaxy blue with Gold GTN rims, that was the sexiest car i had ever seen in my life..... &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;here's a link to it but the pictures there are terrible all blocky, if u have the superstreet issue u can get a better look.....

When i get my S13 the first thing i'm saving up for is a SR20DET redtop.... &nbsp; &nbsp; There's so many things you can do with those cars i haven't decided which style i like best (sil 80, silvia, 180sx), if i had unlimited cash i would definetly convert the front to a S15 Silvia like Signal Auto did to there's.. &nbsp; &nbsp; But my main concern with the car is Performance...

Here's actually a pic i what i ment, a S13 with a new S15silvia front end, it's also known as a &nbsp;SIL 15/80 , but i think sil eighty still sounds better and it is still a sil eighty... &nbsp; &nbsp; it's actually crazy the way Sil Eighty's where started, &nbsp; people would screw up there front bumpers on there 180sx drifting into curbs and other objects and it was cheaper to buy a S13 Silvia front end then a S13 180sx front end, so they just bought the silvia front end instead and i guess it started a trend... &nbsp; pretty cool

yeah, that is one heck of car! &nbsp;personally, id go w/ a sleeper look w/ the s13 and leave it mostly stock bodied or convert it to a true 180sx. &nbsp;they look pretty bad ass stock! &nbsp;they arent hard to make big power in either. &nbsp;a little turn here, a little turn over there, hey look, 50 hp! <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

im still debating my future project car. &nbsp;im lookin at starting one this summer sometime. &nbsp;here are my 3 lookers and pros and cons:
rx7 TII: &nbsp;i know them really well. &nbsp;i can rebuild the engine myself, and ive got rx7 parts hook ups, but they arent too reliable w/ big boost.
MR2 turbo: &nbsp;its hard to find a flaw w/ these cars. &nbsp;they are so freakin fast just stock, and w/ a litte bit of love, it would be unstoppable. and an awesome autox car b/c of the mid-engined set up, &nbsp;but they are a pain to work w/ for that same reason. &nbsp;i also have never torn down and rebuilt a piston engine like i have a rotary. &nbsp;
project Silvia: &nbsp;get an s13 or s14.5 and convert it to a jdm Silvia. &nbsp;id mod it out a litttle, and get to around 300 hp so or and then leave it. &nbsp;my main goal in this project would be mostly JDM pride! <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> &nbsp;the down side w/ this project is that JDM goodies cost alot!! :/ and the sr20det wont be cheap either. &nbsp;

so there are my ideas, im still pondering, and ive got plenty of time to make a decision.

Yeah i agree i think 180sx's look awesome stock too, that's my problem i just love all the styles of the S13 S14 &amp; S15 &nbsp;so there's so many ways you can go, but like i said my main goal is getting the SR20DET in there first, and heck i may end up keeping the body stock, maybe just change out the brake lights.....

all 3 of those cars are great choices, i'd probably know the least about the Rx7TII, i know they have great potential but i've never owned a rotary hehe..... &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

So i'd probably pick the 240sx, if you get a S13 you can find those DIRT cheap! so it makes it a little easier buy a SR20DET to put in it.. &nbsp; if you get a S14, those look bad ass but your going to be spending more money, &nbsp;a guy at the last jamil show had a &nbsp;red S14 with a redtop SR20DET in it, and he said the Showzone in charelston did it for 3500 including motor &amp; labor, &nbsp;then Casey down here with a 200sx SE-R called them and he told me that they quoted him for 3500 installed complete as well... &nbsp;I haven't talked to them myself but if they do it right &amp; have good motors, 3500 is a pretty good deal...

2nd choice for me would be the MR2 those are awesome, and like u said fast stock as well, but i agree i'd hate to work on that motor, &nbsp;while i love the mid engine design, working on it is another story hehe..... &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;if you are looking to autox the MR2 would probably do the best, but really &nbsp;S13 240's are great for Autoxing to i know they handle like a mo fo.....

Why would you swap a bigger engine for a smaller engine in a 240 sx?!? *The turbo will not do much to offset the hp difference. *why dont' you take the money that you were gonna put into a 2.0 litre sr20det, and make it a ka24det? *Makes more sense to keep the larger displacement and run 10 psi, and have 310 hp when tuned properly?!?

The SR20DET is a much better tuner motor, and without swapping out internals i think you can create more HP with the SR20DET, then u could with the KA24...

Well a Ka24 out of 91 to 94 has something like 155hp and 160tq stock, a SR20DET depending on if u get a blacktop redtop or bluebird or whatever can come with anywhere &nbsp;from 205hp to 250hp and about 205tq &nbsp;stock... &nbsp;and i know the blacktops and those #'s are at 7psi i think....

it's a pain getting a SR20DET swap, but once it's in it's well worth it..

im sorry but i could not resst &nbsp;i eboy with the neon gtr site some &nbsp; call you out hate mail &nbsp; telling him hes basicly a bitch for being proud of beting a tercel, pathfinder and other slow ass cars that you could run past. i also email him a custom made rice ticket. peace and love

I second the statement &quot; Neons are slow &quot; &nbsp; When my stang got wrecked, i got a neon for &nbsp;rental car... not only was it slow, but if you steped ont he gas remotely hard the brake light flashed and power was cut in half until you raised your foot. &nbsp;It was horrible.

stegall yes they are slow, but a 1st gen dohc 5spd neon is a little faster then a 5spd 240sx.... i'd still prefer to drive a 240 though haha..

what all do you have done to your s14?? &nbsp;i'm gonna buy a S13 pretty soon and hopefully within the year have a SR20DET in it....

Hey Erik...i figure you would like to know that the s15 front is called the strawberry face. Its a bad ass conversion. Hid is available in the conversion. Theres a huge difference in the car.

If it were me and i wanted a drifting car i would get a ae86 and throw in a sr20det, 2jz-gte, or a 20b. Not only will you have madd power for drifting and plenty for the races!!! Go with the lighter formula and get more performance in the wholeshot!

yeah i love the AE86 cars, i heard there was one for sale awhile ago in the burg for like 700 bucks! &nbsp;what a steal if it's in descent condition... &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;i've actually never seen a SR20DET in a AE86 is that a common swap? any info on it somewhere? &nbsp;i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.... &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; I just like the way the 240sx looks a little better then the AE86, and for some reason, i could be wrong, but i'm thinking parts are a little easier to find and probably cheaper for the S13....
but yeah AE86's are great cars and i wouldn't mind having one myself..

I am a huge jap spec fiend and i love drifting. I practice whenever i get the chance. When you pull upto my driveway theres a ton of slidemarks comming in! Its alot of fun and here lately i have been trying to get into it. The 4A-GE is so under estimated...you can easily get 200 hp out it...for fairly cheap, but if were me I would....get a new 4A-GE with LOWWW miles and take the supercharger off the 4A-GZE and have a high comp supercharged vehicle cause the stock internal on the 4A-GE are rated at 240, and that would be roughly 210-220...Then again in Japan there are plenty of SR20DET Hachi's riding around...and a few 20b's
