Me before, Hondah CBR 250 RR,

bike after, i was in hospital getting my leg rebuilt! came around a nice corner, following some mates, as you do on a nice winding road, came in a bit too hot, ran wide, and i deliberatly layed her over and pushed the bike away and went for the slide,to avoid impacting a railing, and going into the scrub. the last thing i remember was watching the road remove my visor TIP ALWAYS wear a FULL FACE hat. its amazing how things slow down and you can react during a crash sequence! i remember hitting the road, it getting really hot, the gravel ripping the visor off, then i closed my eyes, then i remember hitting the armco railing, and then opening my eyes to find my myself lying under the railing, it wasnt untill i sat up and waited for my fellow riders to return that i felt the pain in my leg. my boot came off! and it wasnt until the ambo arrived i found i couldnt walk on my painfull leg, the bone behind your shin bone was completely shattered. oh well. other than that, just a few cuts on my finger, and no other injuries, not bad for coming off at 60 Mph in a corner on a country road. the bike, well... pics.

you can see where the rim took the full impack into the fence, the bike ended up on the opposite side of the road, 1 fork completley broken off, other bent, wheel pushed the exhaust system back onto the block and smashed radiator. apart from that, just the usual fairing damage from sliding across a road. the Bike was Rebuilt and i still have it! and the bolts in my leg as a reminder..

Dang.

A friend of mine (big ass Harley rider with forearms bigger than my legs) was riding down a local county road, went down a dip in the road and met a bessy cow who was broadside in his lane. He mashed it up, went sideways and hit the 700lb bovine with his right hip and forearm. Smashed his forearm to bits.

The cow died :owned:
