Tofuball 05-14-2008, 11:19 AM I tell everyone to get motorcycles, and they always tell me how dangerous it is and that they don't want to die. I tried to convince a 65 year old woman the other day :) toyo7 05-14-2008, 11:26 AM i see your 70mpg 2 wheel beast and raise you this: http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc125/meinkampf84/fisher_advance_07_m.jpg 0gal per mile! I tried to convince a 65 year old woman the other day :) I stopped riding mostly because of other people...not me. It's amazing how many times people 'can't see you' on a motorcycle. Dunno if you ever saw the vid of a motorcycle going for a pass behind a red BMW and as the cycle gets to the side of the red BMW, the WOMAN driving the red BMW decides she wants to pass the car in front of her as well (without looking in her sideview) and smacks right into the cyclist. Eatmyclutch 05-14-2008, 02:53 PM I can't tell. Is that a streetbike or a dirtbike? Either way you must be having fun driving that thing. Supper 05-14-2008, 03:08 PM if I don't sell it, I'll get it street legal this year: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a303/Sup1661/Work%20Safe/motorcycle%20pics/fbd00594.jpg Supper 05-14-2008, 03:08 PM I can't tell. In NY which is probably 10x more gay on rules and regulations, that looks like it would be street legal due to it having a headlight and taillight. You gotta fab up turn signals or something? MSO says "Offroad Only" No horn No left hand mirror Already have the VIN check done and most of the paperwork completed to deal with the MSO, just never bothered installing the horn or the mirror. We aren't even required to have turn signals in the state of wyoming. And the 650's tail light is only a marker light, no brake light which is a point of debate around these parts. D-Rock 05-14-2008, 03:16 PM i want a ruckus (sp?) but before i decide I am ghey, I am prolly gonna buy myself a decent starter 600cc bike... Mountain/Road bicycle FTW, but only in a small, flat, manageable town... like mine D-Rock 05-14-2008, 03:19 PM MSO says "Offroad Only" No horn No left hand mirror Already have the VIN check done and most of the paperwork completed to deal with the MSO, just never bothered installing the horn or the mirror. Wyoming? that state is less than an hour away... you guys get to buy booze on sundays... we will have this right on July 5th... I will pass beyond alcoholic and progress to the title of "drunkard" Supper 05-14-2008, 03:35 PM Heh, less then an hour? Hell, I live less then an hour from FoCo. Will actually be down there on saturday, a friend is graduating from CSU. Supper 05-14-2008, 05:26 PM that brings back some good memories of my CR MXers (I know it's a 4 stroke but it looks similar, 4 strokes are lame) '94? 94? Its a 2005 XR650R. I know I put some hard miles on that thing, but 94!? D-Rock 05-14-2008, 05:34 PM Heh, less then an hour? Hell, I live less then an hour from FoCo. Will actually be down there on saturday, a friend is graduating from CSU. graduation week is crAzy... cheyenne is ~40 miles north of here... some friends have made the trip on sunday to buy kegs o' win on sundays... rtryb2200 05-14-2008, 07:41 PM This week is national ride your bike to work week. I have put the little suzuki to rest this summer and have been bicycling to work everyday, when it rains I ride the zuki. No car to work for at least a month Cosby 05-14-2008, 08:01 PM In SC if the title says "not legal for street use" You're totally and utterly screwed. You can not under any circumstance register a dirt bike unless you declare it totalled and get a new title. Supper 05-14-2008, 09:17 PM looks like a '94-96 CR http://www.bikepics.com/honda/cr250/94/member-pics.asp http://www.bikepics.com/honda/cr250/96/member-pics.asp everything old is new again...using rehashed color schemes I guess I can see where you would get em confused. Honda always just did BNG on the XR series, and everything is still red. Mine just has the opaque desert tank. In SC if the title says "not legal for street use" You're totally and utterly screwed. Thats the good thing about living in the Rocky Mountain West :blah: Animal 05-16-2008, 12:12 AM BLAH..... I want one! Only thing I have against getting a bike is that if I ride it like I ride my sled, i'd have the thing about a month before I kill myself on it. I want a KTM supermoto, them are sexy machines... This summer i'm fixin my sled (Clutch, gearing, plastics, some other goodies), gettin some better gear (Boots & better knee protection)... then the snow will fly, time to wreck the shit out of it again. |
