That is my hood.
I just put my house up on the market for $1.99. Should sell easy since I marked it $500k below market price.
Why can't these fuckers stay in the closet, until at leastmy house sells?
And why did they have to pick a republican majority town (one of a handful left in the Manfagcisco gay Area)?
BATMAN 06-05-2006, 04:47 PM I heard the tri-state area has some fine ass virginas.....
this gay parade are kids under 18 years old. Even more fucked up.
at least in China they ban pro-gay shit.
There's something to be said about a totalitarian society like China. Liberals = organ donors.

Savington 06-05-2006, 05:18 PM The school spent something north of $6,000 to close down businesses on Main Street - for NINETEEN students to hold a parade. I don't care WHAT the parade is for. That's fucking absurd.
BATMAN 06-05-2006, 06:01 PM well los altos is marked dangerous turf for a straight man to drive a miata..... especially top down.

Hardtop FTW.
KatakanaKarl 06-05-2006, 10:26 PM Hardtop FTW.

Miata + Hardtop + Turbo = awesome car.
And if you have to go top down, Hard Dog double diagonal roll bar FTW.

This is the idea I have. Not too much to tease about a 300hp Miata. :) Turbo is a couple years off, but I'll have the interior and suspension fully sorted by next summer. It should be a really slick little street/track machine.

Miata + Suspension = huge difference. My buddy has tein flex's on his 93, as well as flying miata sway bars. Huge improvement over stock.

So your house is really worth $500,001.99???
BATMAN 06-06-2006, 09:55 AM wish I would have bought a house there 10 years ago!
it's christian coalition friendly. Beaucoup churches.
fast cars. I see a handful of exotics like ferraris there almost every day.
my friend on the street has a 355, SL55, and 20 bikes of all sorts.

You said you listed it for $1.99, which is $500k below market value:
$500000
+ $1.99
__________
$500001.99
:D
BTW, is that a Typhoon in your sig? I might be getting one of those.
BATMAN 06-06-2006, 10:01 AM silly wabbit..... tricks are for kids.
I have yet to find a house under $1m mark in my hood.
Los Altos is next to stanford and in the middle of Google, Yahoo, NASA, Lockheed, HP, Intel, AMD, and many other companies that u have heard of.

I know. Remember, I'm originally from Cali.
Anyway, answer the important question. Is that a Typhoon?

you must not spend much time in Charlotte....it's very rare to see even a 911 or Z06 here
the FD gets so much attention it's nuts
Funny you say that, I saw a Z06 last weekend on Rea Road :D
BATMAN 06-06-2006, 03:54 PM if you don't mind me asking, alain, what did you pay for the house, like $500-600K?
talk about an awesome investment
Without getting into too much specifics, I got the house for almost twice of that or half of what i am selling it for.
the previous owners got it for what u guys are paying for ur homes in today's value.
this house is a 6 bedroom 3 bath with 3k~ sq ft of living space, 15k of property. hardwood floors, granite counters, marble fireplace (2 of them) and high beam ceiling.
it's too big for a guy like me.
I am getting another house for about hte same price in the same hood, with a 3/3 in the main house and a 2/1 in the cottage.
wonner 06-06-2006, 04:01 PM Can I live in your new cottage, BATMAN?

Flex is pussy shit compared to what I've got planned. Picking up the car this summer, and I'm going to do a few things before I start in on the suspension, but my basic idea is Koni Race shocks (basically a shortened Sport with valving where a Sport on full stiff is equal to a Race on full soft) and some GC coilovers with 650/425 springs. I think the Flex is somewhere around 400/325. Combine my rates with those shocks, a monster front bar, and some massive frame bracing, and you've got a bitchin' track toy.
:)

They're still a huge improvement over stock.
Do you plan on living with that car, or is it gonna be track only?

I've got access to a DD, but I'll probably drive it 3 or 4 times a week. Guys running essentially the same setup (same shocks w/ 600/300 springs) say the car is suprisingly liveable on everything except the worst roads, i.e. approaching gravel. I'm less worried about the spring rates, and more worried about the lack of power steering, AC, ABS, any mentionable interior, and a radio, though. :) This will essentially be a Spec Miata, sans roll cage and absurdly-loud exhaust, and built with some nicer suspension pieces. I'm going to go turbo eventually, so I'm not worried about fitting into an autocross class or SM.

You won't miss the power steering. Manual steering isn't that bad in a miata.
If you set it up like a Spec Miata, THEN turbo it, it will be a beat indeed.

You should invest in a real car. Miata's are for pussies regardless of what modifications you make. Even with huge ass fender flares and a GT style wing it looks like a girl car.
