PeotchRedZ 01-27-2002, 02:45 PM Last night i was going back to my dorm, when i saw a small sports car a ways in front of me, when got closer i saw that it was a mid-80's-early 90's porsche. then i saw the turbo emblem, right away i knew i had to race him. stepped on the gas and passed him pretty fast, then slowed down to see if he would do anything. he didn't and i saw that he had a date in the car with him, so i almost lost hope. then we got caught at a light, i revved once, and he didn't do anything, but i stayed ready just in case. The light changes, and i jump off the line, but he doesn't do anything, so i back off, right after i backed off he jumps on it, (sneaky s.o.b.) so i floor it again and get a car ~car 1/2 on him and stay about that far ahead to about 80. I was so stoked that i beat a turbo porsche. It was GREAT. before that i hadn't raced in months.

zadams 01-28-2002, 11:21 PM Allen perhaps you should review/edit that last post, it really isn't credible to state that because a marque costs more it is not desireable, or capable of performance. Just take a look at Porsche's racing history...

That's why its "over priced". People think "porsche", and think "fast". I can guarantee people don't think of the word fast automatically when the words Nissan, Subaru, or any other mainstream automaker is brought up. No wonder there are so many bad apple mechanics out there. They can make up almost any story about "distribulators", "flux override harness", or "oxygen splitter module" and 9 times out of 10 they'll get away with it lol.

It was pretty fast, i didn't beat it by a whole lot. but......I BEAT A TURBO PORSCHE..... and i had a witness.
