I've had quite a bit of experience in the cell phone industry and I have personally found that Motorola has always been a good choice. I'm pretty tough on phones and Moto's have never let me down. They're tough, user frendly, and packed with functions. They usually are expensive, but you get what you pay for in my experience.
Now if you are the buisness man type and you need something like a blackberry type phone then I suggest anything from Palm's Treo line. They are expensive as hell, but if that's what you need then they will definatly do the job. The blackberrys are nice to, but for typing and such the Treo seemed easier to use. They have bigger buttons in a better layout (IMO) and are less "blob" shaped. In all honesty I haven't been in the states for about a year now and I think the Blackberry has changed a little to improve on some of it's misgivings, but I can't say, as I have not personally used one.

I hope thats helpfull.

If you get an LG mp3 player phone. DON"T buy the usb cable and software. Get the little Micro SD card and a regular SD usb card reader. They don't sell SD card readers just go to Staples or somewhere and get one.

The software and usb cable are shit. Just do the card and you can copy paste music to it.

I heard Banana's are great for retards like you. They're cheap enough to be disposable. They don't come with warranty though and you can't return them.

Just giving my opinion, i've never tried using bananas as phones before.

Blackberries also use an expensive proprietary email push system.

The outlook contacts/tasks/memos/email synchronization is sweet though.

Where did that come from? A movie? My daughter named her phone 'banana phone' and sings to her cat with a jingle BANANA PHONE! I never heard of it before and she is being a brat by not telling me.

It's a song... Someone used the song to make a short cartoon vid.

I'll probably get flak for this, but I'm happy with my V3c. Never had a problem, it can charge from the computer USB, and the sofware lets me make my own ringtones from any sound file.

My startac charges off USB. Outside pins on the USB cable are +5 and GND, and the power cable for the phone has a +5, GND, and a feedback line that is only used in the old phones without the charging circuit in the phone.
