Need more info on modifying the SR20DET...what are some good sites or discussion forums...

The last issue of Sport Compact Car had a big article about SR20s. &nbsp;This guy modified an SR20 he put in his 240 to 438 hp, itll fly. &nbsp;Its a good article.

Ben, modifying a SR20 is supposed to be pretty easy. &nbsp;intake, full turbo back exaust (3&quot;), big injectors, big pump, and just turn up the boost. &nbsp;its slightly more complicated than that, but thats about it. &nbsp;www.freshalloy.com seems to have the smart people there. &nbsp;zilvia.net is ok, but the board is run by nazi's. &nbsp;club240.com is just small. &nbsp;they boys are FA should be able to help you out...

did you say the very last issue that juss came out had the article about the sr20<img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>....if so ima go pick it up and find out what i need to be doing to my engine....later

yea, last SCC had info on the swap, an S13 w/ the SR20, and an S14 w/ a turbo KA. &nbsp;the turbo KA made mad power, the S13 made like 220 (not real sure) to the ground, and the other was just the begining of a project car...

Oh yeah that was a good issue that had a whole friggin' think on doing the swap, &nbsp;yeah that S14 with 438hp was a turbo'd KA motor, i thought about doing this myself, but i think the SR20DET is just the way to go, &nbsp;

I've also seen a few 240's packing 300zxTT motors, i'd love that hehe but i'm sure it's got to throw the balance of the car off, i don't know how much customizing that all takes.. &nbsp;plus those motors/trannys can be expensive, but hey 300hp right away haha...

the last sport compact is really a good source to check out though, and those other links posted above, i really don't think there's a good 240 forum out there though, i could be wrong..

i havent done much yet. &nbsp;i just got my KVR carbon kelvar pads today. &nbsp;im gonna flush the brake system and put some high temp fluid in there. &nbsp;the stock brakes are pretty weak, so i got that out of the way for now. &nbsp;when i get more power, ill do the Z32 brake swap. &nbsp;Next in line is tires. &nbsp;Falken Alzenis's are on the top of the list, but kumhos are always an alternative. &nbsp;Then, im gonna get Teins. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> i cant wait...
