You have the hardest damn clutch pedal to push in..it was horrible..my damn leg hurt after 10 min of driving it...it is very hard to judge when you have that stiff ass pedal....it was fun though..;)

HTM Impreza WRX 01-27-2004, 11:46 PM and you didn't think mine was stiff when i let you drive it? :dunno:
the 2.73 gear really doesnt let u do much. i can chirp 3rd with it but thats about it.
Cosby 01-28-2004, 12:46 AM lmao, its unfortunate none of you have driven the FD. It make's cody's pedal feel like nothin...
Stegall 01-28-2004, 09:48 AM stang clutchs have a cable setup as well... i persinaly think it gives a more direct feel, but it also does make it quite a bit more stuff then stock.
Jon ur pedle is nothing compared to a 5.0 clutch
preludedude 01-28-2004, 10:27 AM and you didn't think mine was stiff when i let you drive it? :dunno:
not at all...when i took ur car up the road, it felt so easy and smooth...no problems at all..prolly the smoothest and easiest clutch ive drove...

HTM Impreza WRX 01-28-2004, 10:37 AM i've never heard anyone say that...drive a 240...they're soft as hell.
the early model 02's had a stronger pressure plate, which allowes for more power, and clutch shudder. i dont really get too much of it, but a lot of people do.
also, i like hydraulic clutches a little better. personally, they have a better feel than a cable clutch, but that's my opinion.
babygirl_GS-R 01-28-2004, 04:11 PM lmao, its unfortunate none of you have driven the FD. It make's cody's pedal feel like nothin...
i got to drive it! :-D for like a minute........cuz i was too scared to drive it far
Frankin7 01-28-2004, 09:50 PM my FC has a pretty soft clutch pedal. i need to adjust it though cuz it engages to far from the floor. i like it to engage about 2-3 inches from the floor, gives me a better feel IMO. :wiggle:
JPAccord 01-28-2004, 10:04 PM my clutch is soft as hell, i couldnt drive my friends 96 cobra, the clutch was so hard to push in that i was scared id fuck it up, so i passed. He had fun in mine though hehe
Cosby 01-28-2004, 10:14 PM making it disengage closer to the floor would mean inducing air into the lines... why would you want that? From a performance standpoint, the less you have to push it the better. Every inch of throw, every pound of tar detracts from ultimate performance... Thats why I modify everything PERFORMANCE first, comfort second...

TVS50LX 01-28-2004, 11:52 PM Good to see another stanger on the board. Just for the record, I have the stiffest clutch here, but :gives:
rxtasy 01-29-2004, 08:33 AM my FC has a pretty soft clutch pedal. i need to adjust it though cuz it engages to far from the floor. i like it to engage about 2-3 inches from the floor, gives me a better feel IMO. :wiggle:
That's how mine is, bout 2-4 inches from the floor and there's no air in it. Just add some free play.
if i keep my car any longer im going with a soft king cobra clutch and extended fork to lighten the pedal. i wish it was as easy as the 96 was that harsh engagement unsprung crap sucks for daily driving.
HTM Impreza WRX 01-29-2004, 03:05 PM older mustang's have an unsprung cluch?
Cosby 01-29-2004, 11:00 PM tibby, no his clutch is aftermarket... Michael, FCs don't have an adjustment to add play into the clutch pedal as far as I know and I've messed with them a fair amount...
