Alex-7 09-14-2005, 11:22 AM Picked this one up yesterday againsed my better judgment (I'm suposed to be saving money) But I've always wanted a little snub nose. And I especially like these early smith J frames (model 36) with the flat latch. Made in 1952 38 special x5 aznpoopy 09-14-2005, 11:26 AM reminds me of old black and white detective movies. Alex-7 09-14-2005, 11:29 AM reminds me of old black and white detective movies. Me too! I dig it. SpartanTS 09-14-2005, 11:32 AM Now all you gotta do is wait on someone to try and rob you, then you can use it for fun :wiggle: Alex-7 09-14-2005, 11:36 AM Or I can try and rob someone myself. It's defenatley a "stick 'em up" kinda piece. I put about 20 rounds throught it last night. NOT VERY ACCURATE. but I guess that's to be expected with such a short barrel. Tom 09-14-2005, 11:41 AM It's really accurate if you hold it about 2 feet away from some muggers face :) Alex-7 09-14-2005, 11:49 AM It's really accurate if you hold it about 2 feet away from some muggers face :) That's it's intended purpos indeed. Hey, you think it's alright to shoot 38 shot shells in this thing. Whilst out in the woods I'd like to have a couple shot shells and a couple regulars ready for action if needed. Cosby 09-14-2005, 11:57 AM now you can be dick tracy Alex-7 09-14-2005, 12:14 PM now you can be dick tracy I already am :wiggle: BATMAN 09-14-2005, 12:14 PM That theme from the Streets of San Francisco is playing in my head for some strange reason......... I use .45 shot shells in my Kimber when I walk around outside. They're strong enough to cycle the auto. Alex-7 09-14-2005, 12:18 PM Oh hell yeah! No worse than regular ball type ammo. Nice, that's esentialy like having a 410 in your pocket right? jimlab 09-14-2005, 12:32 PM Nice, that's esentialy like having a 410 in your pocket right? No, not really, but it goes bang bang. :) Tom 09-14-2005, 02:33 PM Nice, that's esentialy like having a 410 in your pocket right? No, no- it's 00 Buck between the pockets that goes 'bang'. Eh- a .45 shot shell is a little less potent than a .410 It's good for shooting snakes or getting some assholes attention before you hurl a .45 +P hollow point into his chest. 1revnrex 09-15-2005, 03:04 AM I have a nice .38 5 shot just like that, I'll try to get a pic of it up tomorrow. Used to belong to my Dad before he passed away, he was a detective and it was his backup piece. I also have a oooooold .32 cal Iver Johnson hammerless revolver from the early 1900's. Revolvers are great old guns. RoadRaceJosh 09-15-2005, 03:11 AM I want to play Dirty Harry. Give me a .44 Magnum! What was it Charles Bronson's character carried in Death Wish? .357? jimlab 09-15-2005, 08:58 PM I want to play Dirty Harry. Give me a .44 Magnum! What was it Charles Bronson's character carried in Death Wish? .357?Nope. He started with a pissy little .38 and moved up to a .45 Wildey Magnum. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg128-e.htm ComradeGiant 09-15-2005, 09:17 PM I liked his sock full of quarters myself. |
