rodney87 05-12-2008, 11:01 PM My computer took a deadly dump last week and a friend of mine rebooted my whole computer. Wiped everything clean. He said something about me needing to put my sound driver back in but I'm clueless as to what to do. I've got the stack of CD's my computer came with but I need some guidence. Anyone willing to help? Sucks watching a video without the sound  wotnartd 05-12-2008, 11:05 PM Nigga you fucked rodney87 05-12-2008, 11:14 PM yeah, I got that feeling after my computer gave me the black screen of death and wouldn't even boot up in safe mode.... Cosby 05-13-2008, 12:07 AM What kind of computer? There should be a model number on it somewhere. rodney87 05-13-2008, 12:12 AM Its a dell desktop with windows XP. Had it about 4 years now. I dont know which number is the model number, the tag on the side has serial number, product key, service tag, service code etc. Squirrel 05-13-2008, 12:14 AM post the specs... are you using onboard sound (built into the motherboard) or a sound card? if you know the motherboard manufacture, you should just be able to go to their site and they should have a driver you can download. if its a premade computer (dell, compaq, e-machines, etc), their websites should also have drives you can download. edit: i see its a dell... goto dells website and find the drivers specific to your model, and download the ones for sound. rodney87 05-13-2008, 12:16 AM are you using onboard sound (built into the motherboard) or a sound card?
