HAHAHAHAHAHAH

I mean the guy DOES suck at looking like a "James Bond" and probably will never fill the character's shoes, but are boycotts really necessary?

He's definitely a couple steps down from Brosnan.

Hell, I rather see Denzel Washington play ebony bond than someone that looks like he's been kicked to the curb a few times.

Evidently there was a fan push to have a black Bond this time 'round.

I dunno, I'll reserve judgement until I see the movie but I was really hoping that Clive Owen would get the role.

clive owen? that would be a pretty goofy bond.

hugh jackson jackman whatever fits the bill, second only to pierce brosnan.

Even Hugh is looking borderline weathered.

Bond needs to be GQ like Moore, Brosnan, and Connery.

naaaah you're just thinking of wolverine and van helsing. he can look pretty fucking polished. he played an english nobleman in 'kate and leopold.'

although I had my doubts at first, I came to realize Brosnan was perfect for the role, I think he was the best Bond of all of them, personally, with Roger Moore a close second and Connery right after that

im pretty sure everyone agrees connery was #1, including jesus.

Depends how you define 'great' - they certainly did well for themselves. But they weren't the first rock band, so WTF is your point?

how did the beatles get into this discussion?

connery has an element of charisma that the other bonds lack.

roger moore and brosnan were GREAT bonds, no argument there. cool, suave, debonair, etc. everything a bond should be. but connery just has a touch that really makes him unique as bond. maybe its his funny accent? he just comes across very differently compared to the others.

it's an informal discussion. no need to cite to outside links!!!

I grew up with Brosnan as Bond. It's gonna be friggin' weird having someone else playing that role. IMO, Brosnan is the best Bond yet.

Connery is the best bond since he had this flare with the ladies. He got what he wanted from the girl then smacked her ass and said go away grown ups are going to talk. The other bonds were just "pc" watered down versions. Plus Connery could finish the mission with out the need of a batman like utility belt or a car with gadgets up the ying yang.

Connery is my sorta horn dog.

Probably the strongest in the bunch.

Moore is a pretty funny.

Brosnan is just straight up GQ model.

Just look at the way he dresses and his hair.

Any of those guys are white boys role models on the path to "johny-white-guy"

I just heard on the mikey radio show that while filming he knocked out his two front teeth in a stunt and that moron can't drive the classic bond car since he can't drive stick. WTF how could he not know how to drive stick! What kind of a bond can't even drive the ashton martin?

DarkAngelKamui
02-23-2006, 11:21 AM
Yeah, that's it.... This guy fucking fails it....

lol, no Ashton Martin skills automatically means you lose.....

Connery > Brosnan > Moore

Connery > Brosnan > Moore > Timothy Dalton > The guy in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (George Lazenby) > This new ass clown

meh, connery was too rough/violent. Moore and Brosnan played smoother/suaver Bonds. Better fits imo.

Connery
Brosnan
Dalton
Moore
Lazenby

I like Craig, he looks a lot tougher than everyone but Connery, and it's supposed to be about when Bond first becomes an agent anyway, straight out of the SAS. By the way, Brosnan had the same problem with the Aston when he first started in Goldeneye.

Anyone here actually read one of Ian Flemings books?

Connery fit the character perfectly.

Moore was too much of a sissy to be Bond, as was Brosnan.

That's true, but the movies are very different from the books. Connery was the best, but Brosnan combined the suaveness and some of the toughness with a slightly more human aspect that appealed to the moviegoing public, I think he did a great job.
