Well the new dash has been leaked for the 360, release is due on the 19th of this month. For those who wanna see what its all about I have uploaded the upgrade to a file host and will provide a link.

Two things to know:

1. If you install this update you will NOT be able to login in to XBL untill the 19th of this month.

2. You will not be able to uninstall this as of yet.


Here ya go, unzip the file to a USB drive and plug it into the 360. Boot it and install it. Enjoy. I believe you can burn it to a disc an install it as well but its easiest with a jump drive.

I would but mine broke the other day. Has audio, but no video. Microsucks is "getting back to me" about the warranty.

What are you using to plug into the TV? HDMI?

I've switched TV's and cables and still have the problem. I don't have a fancy schmancy hd tv, so I have to use the hd av rca connections.

GPU. Samething happened to mine. Heat it up and get it the RROD that way you can get it covered under warranty.

MS will give you a new box if you tell them it got the RROD, people fuck up and try to tell them all sorts of shit instead of just telling them, "Oh yah its RROD'd on me.". Even if it is something completely different just claim RROD and you are good, RROD can be hard to prove on the MS side because just getting knocked around in transit could be enough to make the system start up again.

They have a diagnostic system that stores codes...

Well apparently it doesnt work too well, I personally know of two people with out of warranty boxes that claimed RROD and got them replaced when that wasnt the problem it shipped with.

The people on the phone (allbeit in India) told me this shit. I wanna know now. My Disc drive is bitchy when it comes to playing DVDs and I was going to send it back, but fuck waiting 3 weeks. I got a stand alone DVD player. Maybe when the warranty runs out in dec i'll send it back claiming rrod and see what happens.

I signed up for Netflix, not all of the movies are available but its pretty sweet. Sony pulled all of its films from being available on the 360. Gay. Gamespy I dont know about, havent got that far into yet.

Netflix is fucking gay. I signed up for that shit and it gives me an activation code to enter on my PC. Ummm...my PC is in my bedroom. My 42" and Xbox are in the living room. I move the modem every time. So I bring it to my bedroom to get on the web to enter my activation code and it is expired/invalid. I do this 3 times and same thing. On the phone with them now. Pretty fucking stupid system though IMHO.

I got the code thing to work straight away, but I have multiple access points point on my home network. I just did a crazy ghetto rig job to get the 360 hooked up.

I used a wired connection off of my TV (IP cable rules) and then my desktop is on a wireless point, so I just clicked a few links, and tada.

Easy peasy.

And the NXE is fucking tits. Just amazing. Installing games and what not.... epic. Halo 3 is recommended to not do anything with, though. Fuckers.

Quit crying you only have to enter it in once, its just to validate the 360. Its the goods.

I had them enter it for me over the phone so I didn't have to hook up and unhook shit anymore.

Yah I hear ya, I can tell you this much about it. Back in the middle of 07 Netflix had 1000 movie available to stream. End of 08 and they are up to 12000. If that trend keeps up they will have quite a few more available soon and I have heard they are going to start putting new releases up to stream. It actually cost them less to stream them but at this point not a whole lot of people have the boxes required to do it on the TV and not a lot of people want to watch movies on the Laptop/Desktop so they focus on the DVD side of it more.
