Grant, a supermarket worker, was unarmed when he was shot in the back, according to police. The Alameda County coroner's office said Wednesday that the bullet fired by Mehserle apparently went through him and ricocheted off the concrete platform before re-entering his body. It was the ricochet wound to the torso that caused Grant's death, it said.

Yep, that's ridiculous, the cop should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. I just think violent protesters/rioter are complete idiots, whose cause is lost among their stupid decisions.

The son of former baseball star was shot in his own driveway. The news story says:
White cops, in Bellaire (mostly white). Cops thought him and his buddy (both black) were driving a stolen car, pulled guns on them, ordered them to the ground. The guys mom comes out, starts a ruckus, and when the cop shoves his mom against the wall, the guy starts to get off the ground, and gets shot. Expected to recover.
