So did anyone else here ever have a Transformers Soundwave tape deck?

I've been doing some looking around, and I've only found a reference to it once.

Its really amazing the things we toss around as kids, only to find they're rare as adults.

Never heard of one...

I used to build some pretty crazy shit with legos.. I was anal about details.

Legos were so much better when you could just buy a random bucket of them.

I don't approve of all these sets with instructions, it defeats the creativity.

I was a big fan of G.I. Joe...especially their airplanes. I remember the aircraft carrier was the holy grail of G.I. Joe.

I never had that one... I did have the big jet fighter that looked like a ufo kind of and came with the special edition pilot. Only held 2 people. The fold out command-center was bad ass. Folded up, it was a mobile vehicle kind of like the ewok thing from star wars... but then it folded out into three levels of pure bad ass entertainment.

You can but they are high. Nothern and tractor supply have some great toys.

Those Hess toys are still metal, from what I have seen :p

Ive got 30+ original star wars figures, and a tie intercetor do those count

I still have all my transformers in a box at my folks house along with the GI Joes. I'm pretty sure I have that plane up above and the tape deck but the one I have doesn't play tapes

Me too--I also had the motorized tank, there was also a small aircraft called the Skyhawk, there was a hang glider, a windsurfer that I got by sending away proof of purchase for it, about a million action figures...the humvee too. Oh,and the attack chopper where you push the switch on the side and the blades spun--I had that one too but I cant remember what it was called. The pilot was Wild Bill and it looked just like the AH-1 Cobra chopper.

yeah, I had the Cobra hang-glider (jet engines on it though). And the Dragonfly chopper with Wild Bill, and the Cobra F.A.N.G. gyrocopter, H.I.S.S. tank, even the snowmobile with twin .50 cal cannons *L* I swear, some of the goofy shit they came up with as fake military vehicles...

Thats just it though--they were never violent. Did you ever watch that old cartoon? Every time a vehicle was destroyed, the people got out in time. Each plane that was shot down, the pilot parachuted out of it...I cannot ever remember a time when any of the characters died....

I think it was Duke. And my mom wasn't against GI Joe because of the cartoon violence, but because of the violence the action figures, etc represented (that would be 'war' to those slow people out there ;) )

That's like telling your kids that our troops are bad.....kinda lame if you ask me. Sure, you dont want your kids growing up in a violent world, but too late for that. better to teach them properly than just try to shield them from the inevitable IMO....and no one was being "slow" Mr. Wizard....but thanks for your concern.
