Glaucus atlanticus is a species of medium-sized, floating, blue sea slug, a pelagic aeolid nudibranch, a marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusk in the family Glaucidae.

This is one of two members of the genus Glaucus, which is the only true genus within the Glaucidae family. The only other true member of the genus Glaucus is Glaucus marginatus.

G. atlanticus has many common names, including: Blue sea slug, Blue ocean slug, Blue dragon and Sea lizard.
