Stanello 09-08-2008, 04:09 AM Anyone else on this podunk forum into hockey?
I'm interested in seeing how Tampa Bay does after doing quite a bit of reshuffling during the off-season. Picking up Barry Melrose as Head Coach and adding Stamkos, Malone, Roberts, Recchi, etc to offense and picking up Kolzig in goal as well.
Also hope Columbus finally makes it to the playoffs, and the Penguins do better this year than last.
toyo7 09-08-2008, 08:52 AM i was heart broken when i heard that jager went to russia. almost as bad as when belfour left us. i was near tears the day i heard about belfour! i personally think tampa is going to win there division this year and chicago will finally have a good year after 13 or so shitty ones. i might finally beable to wear my chicago jersey with pride again!!! i hope the crapitals fail again. and with kolzig and huey gone it looks like my hopes are gonna be a reality!
DeRFmAn 09-09-2008, 09:13 PM I just want dallas to have another run...i had hoped they'd go all the way last season but i knew it wasn't realistic.
Tampa will be exciting to watch but will be a push over should they make the playoffs. Columbus, eh... don't think so. Penguins do better this year than last year? Unlikely that they win the Cup seeing as how strong the West is but hey, never know. Dallas, looks strong but a lot depends on Riberio so I wouldn't be surprised if they are unable to duplicate their playoff success from last season. Plus, now you gotta listen to that retard Avery. The Northwest should be interesting.

gooberFC35 09-12-2008, 12:03 AM didnt really some of the moves the pens made during the off season...sucked to see malone go, being a hometown guy (even though i used to hate him when i played against him growing up). that being said, the lightning will be very fun to watch this year. i hope everything comes together for them and they do well.
out west, hope dallas can come out on top...and did hasek finally retire for real??? i would be much more interested in the wings if he was finally gone.
all-in-all though, rooting for the pens as usual
czarofzar 09-12-2008, 07:35 AM Also hope Columbus finally makes it to the playoffs, and the Penguins do better this year than last.

czarofzar 10-15-2008, 07:52 PM lol never heard that before. thought that, but never heard it from anyone.
Stanello 12-08-2008, 06:18 AM Allrite. So about a third of the way through the season now.
- SJ is a killer team, 22-3-2 at this point
- Boston is doing much better than expected
- Tampa Bay is an organization ran by clowns
- Big name injuries have been an epidemic across the league
- Tim fucking Thomas might win the Vezina
czarofzar 12-23-2008, 06:35 PM Detroit Red Wings (22-6-4)
must I say more? maybe ark can tell us they wont win the finals this time because no one on the team has a mullet. =D
good times good times
San Jose and Boston are doing better.
czarofzar 12-23-2008, 07:26 PM sharks cant beat wings. Boston lost two key playas and got 3 wins from easy teams. both not looking good. red wing are however. but we already predicted their end. Stanley Cup.
lol we're not even halfway through the season yet. I agree that the wings are the favourites on account of their strong record and that they are the current champs, but it's anything but a sure thing at this point. Detroit's goaltending hasn't looked very good this season, that's for sure.
