91lx 11-11-2002, 11:35 AM I have a 351W and Im running 10w30 (non synthetic) in it. It has around 100,000 miles on it. It runs awesome idk if its been rebuilt but it uses like 1-qt every 2-weeks of driving (500 or so miles). Should I use a thicker oil to reduce the consumption like 20w50 synthetic or 10w40 or what? I dont want to rebuild it b/c im swapping in another engine next year. Texas89LX 11-11-2002, 02:04 PM run a thicker oil and see if that helps get under the car and check for leaks... esp the front and rear main seals 91lx 11-11-2002, 08:57 PM There are no leaks the engine and tranny are so clean you could eat off them .
