Driver Cited
PORTLAND -- A car ended up wedged underneath the trailer of a semi truck while allegedly speed racing on Marine Drive.
It happened about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in North Portland.
Officers say the truck driver looked both ways as he turned onto Marine Drive. He then saw two cars racing toward him. One slammed into the trailer. The other stopped, dropped off a passenger and then drove away.
The 21-year-old driver of the Toyota Celica was cited for reckless driving and speed racing.
Two people were inside the Celica. Police say it's a miracle that no one died.
