preludedude 06-14-2003, 02:34 PM hell yeah, im hyped thinking about a shootout in a 3rd gen....
hopefully, chris is being serious..:D
I honestly, say, everyone put $10 each for best time...
Should Chris be in it? Since he drives it daily, so he knows how to drive it perfectly? i guess he can...ill let him drive his own car..:red:

Chipster 06-14-2003, 03:36 PM shootout in my dad's cobra.....
240ish hp in 2300 lb car = yummy
thats what i want to build after i finish school.
Cosby 06-14-2003, 04:42 PM someone would lose control in my car and wreck it. I dont drive it every day and Im not even that good at driving it yet.
Chipster 06-14-2003, 05:32 PM 88lx, let me know when you start building your kit.
ours was manufactured by Factory Five Racing. Uses the 5.0 mustang as a donor car. Its a well built kit, and pretty easy to build. We got our kit in nov. of 99, finished it in feb. of 2001.
If and when you start building your kit, and you need some help, let me know. Also, be my guest to come check out the car if you'd like.

on those tires 9.45 is about the most perfect my car has ran. i pulled a 9.47 on them and 9.31 on my stock goodyears. the nittos DRs should be good for at least a 9.29 im hoping.

Sean951 06-15-2003, 03:18 PM Hey guys, im going to try to head over to shadyside before i go on my big summer trip. Im not expecting any crazy fast time or anything...i still have the same firestone allweather tires fited on the car since i bought it which was about 3 years ago. Also, these cars arent know for there launching ability. and the turbo i fitted is hardly working in the 8th mile. With that said, well see what she can do:)
lets meet up there next sunday 1-5. ill be at the beach house thursday.
thebiggreen 06-16-2003, 12:16 PM Mark, you're not the first... a girl got to drive the car before you.
Cosby 06-16-2003, 12:21 PM TIRES LAST THAT LONG?!?!?!
Sean951 06-16-2003, 05:20 PM Yeah, but that was in a parking lot and doesnt realy count:rolleyes: . is that you PJ? And, yeah...tires do last that long if you dont do burnouts and launch the car all the time. I bet if i go to the dragstrip a couple of times they will be done for:)

what the F Sean? you're supposed to do that. Tires aren't supposed to last more than 15-18k miles. ;) damn...
Cosby 06-16-2003, 06:05 PM damn you dont want your tires to get an OLD layer of rubber on em... that could be unsafe...
Sean951 06-16-2003, 06:29 PM lol...i should but i want to baby my clutch as much as possible...I think clutch jobs are easier on Mclaren F1s than they are on 944 turbos. I'll still go to shadyside because im realy curious to see what she does.
Cosby 06-16-2003, 06:58 PM how long are clutches supposed to last? Allen's lasted a good 6 months this time...
thebiggreen 06-17-2003, 11:33 PM yeah its me sean...yeah but she still drove it... stop by one day before you go to germany.
im at 7 months on the spec stage 2.
