some of you may remember the demise of Pamela, my GSL-SE that went off a mountain about 2 years ago.

Finally done swapping off the performance parts into Carmen, recently certified to drive on Saskatchewan roads.

While Pamela was parked at the garage and parts swapped to Carmen as the latter was getting safetied for certification, someone broke in and tore Pam's dash apart swiping switches, shifter boot, shifter knob, shattering the rear storage bins - hell, they even tried to take the ECU.

The cosmetic stuff such as boot and knob could have been anything, but they were pretty methodical going after the hard-to-find electric stuff, so it looks like the work of a 1st gen owner *sigh*

At least the rest of Pam's remains are in my posession now. I swapped her engine, tranny, (custom) driveshaft, full RB exhaust and swaybars, and a few other odds and sods into the new car which also has front slotted rotors and stainless lines throughout. It was supposed to have slotted rotors all around, but RX-7 Specialties in Calgary sent me one GSL-SE slotted rear and one for a 2nd gen, and when they were still answering my calls refused to correct their mistake.

Pam's seats will be getting a thorough cleaning (bit of blood plus 2 years exposed to the elements) and put into Carmen, and the salvaged rims polished and matched with one replacement.

It's like starting from scratch, but at least I know where it leads :)

Same thing happened to my T2... It's one thing to take a shift knob, but when you know where to look for an FCD... It had to be an FC owner. Prety shitty.

My T2 got broken into as well. I helped some people out, let them use my phone and what not when their car broke down and they were staring at the car hard out at my office. That night it was broken into and my stereo equipment got stolen. Last time I help someone out there.

That's why I'm making my car as nice as I can, but leaving it looking completely stock and boring. All my stereo equipment is going to be hidden, and I am going to get an old POS radio to rip the front off of and make a fake cover from. :D
