KoukiFC3S 04-07-2008, 12:31 AM I'm gonna start this week. I'm pretty excited! rtryb2200 04-27-2008, 01:00 AM League starts a week from Monday for me 2ndGen.Rocket 04-27-2008, 02:20 PM Play all year round pretty much, but not nearly as often as I used to. I worked in a pro shop and gave lessons all through high school, even won my club championship when I was 18. The 18 year old 2ndGen would have beat the piss out of the 26 year old 2ndGen however. I don't practice enough at all anymore, but I still shoot high 70's, low 80's. rtryb2200 04-27-2008, 06:51 PM Yeah you really need to keep at it if you are going to stay good or improve. Even playing once a week like I do now, compared to 4+ days a week in HS, I pretty much stay in a rut certifiednut 04-29-2008, 02:05 AM i only play about once a week, it's fun though. we have a couple nice courses here but nothing too crazy. Bruce9898 04-30-2008, 11:52 AM Yah I'm definitley excited to play as well. Just moved beside a small course. I foresee logging in same major time here lol. Animal 05-01-2008, 07:36 PM blah, golf is boring http://wildcat.homeunix.net/20080427/P1010023.JPG Tofuball 05-01-2008, 07:40 PM Golf is boring I got a bunch of golf balls for free, where in the world can I sell them? Vert8813B 05-01-2008, 09:45 PM What kind ya got? 2ndGen.Rocket 05-01-2008, 10:32 PM Golf is boring when you don't know how to play golf. The reason I find golf more interesting than any other sport, is that you have a different game every single time. Even if you play the same course for a year, the conditions are always different, and the variables are always different. Golf is a game that requires a lot of thought, strategy, and precision. Yeah, that can pretty much be said for just about every sport. wonner 05-02-2008, 12:12 AM Animal wins. I tried playing golf once. After 3-4 practice swings, they kicked me off the course. The tuff was FLYING! harder 05-02-2008, 10:42 AM I love to play, although it's the most frustrating sport to play. harder 05-06-2008, 12:43 PM In harder 05-06-2008, 12:44 PM my Ark2 05-06-2008, 02:16 PM Fuck you you fucking noob D-Rock 05-13-2008, 02:17 PM ive been golfing for many years, hit the range a couple times in the last couple years but had not been on the course since 2006..... 2 trips to the range and 1st 9 shot a 48, back nine i shot a 52... these were a day apart and day two had 20-30mph gusts... it sucked... I also lost all my woods, or they got stoled, but who wants to steal lefty woods anyways I am looking forward to some new clubs and golfing all summer, once it gets warmer th8rguy 05-13-2008, 02:30 PM Any recommendations for decent starter clubs? Squirrel 05-13-2008, 02:35 PM Any recommendations for decent starter clubs? my first set of starter clubs came from a rummage sale... but of course, i suck at golf... hard core D-Rock 05-14-2008, 03:09 PM Any recommendations for decent starter clubs? budget??? go to a golf shop and try the demo sets.... most courses will also rent sets, so if you are just starting and learn that golf aint your game, you are not out the thousand bucks a nice set of irons will run you... add to it the ability to drop over $500 on a driver alone... clubs are a SERIOUS investment and at $4 a pop, balls add up fast... they are one of the many hidden costs... balls beer ... the absolutely necessary evil of golf itrhybrid 05-14-2008, 07:31 PM It can be very frustrating, but fun at the same time. Hard to pick up though. Depends on how much beer you have with you on the course.... rtryb2200 05-14-2008, 07:55 PM League started for me this past Monday...shot a 50, I am the most consistent inconsistent player there is....5 5 6 7 7 4 5 6 6 nextiger 06-01-2008, 06:55 PM Any recommendations for decent starter clubs? really depends on how much you plan on playing. If you wanna get decent and are gonna play often...do yourself a favor and "invest" in some decent, custom fit equipment from your local golf shop. If your just gonna play once or twice a year while drinking with buddies....hit up the local walmart! rtryb2200 06-01-2008, 09:59 PM League started for me this past Monday...shot a 50, I am the most consistent inconsistent player there is....5 5 6 7 7 4 5 6 6 I really can't add that was a 52. rtryb2200 06-13-2008, 07:57 PM I just went and purchased myself some new irons this past week. Tried some new fairway woods tonight, ping g10s and taylor made burners and a couple Cobra's. I think I will be spending some more ching and getting the new burners.. |
