Ok, so I decided to give Firefox a try today. I downloaded what I needed to download, but when I get to the part where it's supposed to import my favorites, cookies, history, and all that shit from IE, I get a windows error screen that says "Firefox has stopped working" and it shuts it down. I can click on the icon and get the browser to open up and I seem to be able to use it just fine, but it won't import anything without shutting down again. I tried looking in their support forums, but I didn't find anything about my particular problem. And yes.....unfortunately I am running Vista if that helps. Am I doing it wrong or what?

I'm having extreme memory issues with firefox 3... apparently, anything that's flash based gets stored in memory and not cleared by firefox 3... any ads that are flash-based, youtube, etc... I'm gonna see if I have the installation package for firefox 2...

By looking at their support page, they seem to be having a crap load of issues.....I may just not worry about this at all. I really don't have very many problems with IE at all.

I've been running Firefox for a few years now and haven't had those problems. I'm still on XP though so I'm guessing that Vista compatibility-ness (?) may be the issue. Seems that Vista has issues with a few older MS applications, too. If they can't get it together with their own shit, you can imagine what problems may come about with non-MS products.

download Opera. It's better than ff. As for the crashing, ff3 is pretty buggy, chances are, it just won't do it. What are you trying to import? If it's just bookmarks, you could do it manually, or something. Don't use IE...

Im using Opera primarily with FF as a backup. Get the old version of FF, they still have it on the site. FF3 sucked bad and I ditched it for the old version.
