I had to take pics of my tools (http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/Tofuball/My%20Tools/) for insurance purposes, so I figure I might as well post it here too. Didn't pay that much for them, almost everything was bought used or on some insane sale with an insane coupon.

Yeah, my garage is a mess :P

Post yours!

You don't have a hoist? WTF...

Tofuball

I do have a hoist. A lot of stuff is not pictured, or at that location, or it is obscured by something in the picture :P

Hydraulic Transmission Hoist?

Tofuball

Got an engine hoist and a trans hoist.

Why, want to buy it?

When I move to a bigger garage, and I can fit more tools, I plan to get a hydraulic press, but that gigantic vice works well for the time being.

Yeah I need a trans hoist actually.

Tofuball
10-17-2007, 09:18 AM
Why? for the longest time I used to just push them in by hand. :P I can't see you personally doing enough transmission work to warrant that purchase :P

Why not just . . . buy a decent car?

Vert8813B
10-17-2007, 12:23 PM
Buying a car you don't have to work on? Fuck Honda.

Tofuball
10-17-2007, 12:39 PM
Nah, just some car that doesnt have major transmission or engine issues as the norm? :P

That looks kinda hard to work in, but it also looks like it's climate-controlled, is it? :D

Lol yeah it is pretty hard. There you see me replacing my hub bearings. Note only one wheel is off, because I can only work on one side at a time haha.
Not climate controlled, but I live in southern California, so there is no need :)

I have no garage, so I am jealous of you guys.

Soon I will have a barn though, with half as a garage, then I will be able to work on stuff year round, rather than just 5 months out of the year.

Haha, before I had a garage I worked year round :P Just get some thermal underwear and an insulated jumpsuit, and wear layers between. Two pairs of thermal socks helps too.

Irish Coffee helps too.

I finally HAVE a garage now that I bought a house. It's still full of boxes though....and 240's, lol. Seriously, anyone want one? $9.99/doz....

Anyway, I just ordered one of the cheaper Craftsman toolchest thingies and I have some other plans for the garage, but it'll take awhile to get it the way I want it.

I'll take pics of it in it's current craptacular form this weekend.

I have pics of my folk's garage on my old PC.

Two doors w/ room for four cars with no trying, six with a little coercion. About 1000 sq ft on the bottom floor. Oh yeah, two stories. The bottom floor isn't very well lit, but my dad and I deal. No heat, except for the salamander that we haul wherever needed. Bottom floor has the compressor, tool boxes, van, camry, pop-up camper, snow mobile, fridge, leaf catcher, snow blower.

Top floor: the shop

Table Saw
Band Saw
Lathe
Mill
Drill press x 2
Planer
Joiner
Lot$ of wood$
