The issue is more focused around.... say you pissed someone off with a difference of opinion on here.... they went and found one of those classified ads... and started calling your house/work.. whatever else they find.

I would sticky this that way any newcomers know. I think it should be taken on a case by case thing. In general yes it should be done. But if some person comes in doesn't see this thread, then they should get one warning and have said post removed, and maybe a 24-48hr. ban.

You've got my support on the matter. Posting anyone's personal information without consent shouldn't be tolerated unless in certain cases, such as tracking down someone who's commited fraud on another member, etc.

Let's all try to have some in this case. For example, there is NOTHING that I posted about Mark, EVER, that was not already on the forums. If you put your own info out there, you then dont have any right to cry about privacy simply because someone repeats it. Mark, on the other hand, thought he was gonna be smart earlier this year--he tried to identify the town I live in. He couldnt even get the right state at first, and ultimately never got the right town, but he DID try. Then he went on a witch hunt, claiming that I couldnt keep a job, claiming that I was divorced, etc etc etc. THAT is a bit different, I think.

As for this deal, I am for it--on a case by case basis. If you post someone's identifying info without consent, that is not good. But if it is already posted by that person all over the place, what is the problem??
