So my girlfriend just got a pittbull puppy, and neither one of us have had a dog of our own, so i have no idea how to potty train it. and i didnt feel like taking the effort to look around yet.

and besides yall could use something productive to talk about. :D

Very easy...

Take it outside every hour or two and walk it for 5-10 minutes. If it uses the bathroom, praise it and give it some sort of food treat.. some type of meat or dog treat.

In 3-4 days, it'll probably never use the bathroom inside again.

Get yourself a crate as well. And, I'd start out more frequently than an hour... Maybe every 40 minutes or so.

Also, if the dog eats or drinks, IMMEDIATELY go outside until it pees or shits. Generally with puppies, what goes in, comes out in about 10 minutes. :D

pitbulls are fucking stupid when it comes to potty training em.

took a friend of mine almost 6 months to train his.

my border collie took three days.

We got my pit trained in about 2 weeks. Just wait until they wake you up at 530 in the morning to go outside.

lol.

What I never understood is why people think pitbulls are suck bad animals. Mine is a pit boxer mix, and she has never growled snapped tried to attack anyone. She loves the lil kids on my road(the good ones that is). I think its mostly the owners.

her pitt is mainly a intimidation thing, who wants to break into a house with a pitt inside?

For my Retriever, we used piss pads from petco. We kept moving it closer and closer to the door, and after about a week, he was cocking his leg up by the bushes :D

It has some sort of scent to it. Once I put them down, he started to pee/poop on the pad. One box will be enough to get him on outside.

with my dog, he used to have a problem with shitting in his cage and then dancing in it, flingin' it everywhere in a 2 foot radius. thank god we got him off that.
