I have in my possesion a 05 STI top mount IC. If I mount front mount on my RX-7 would if have enough effecincy to cool my turbo set up(gt35r). The stock STI runs I think 15PsI(dont quote me on that) and I have seen some modded STIs using the top mount even when running about 375, this is still more than what I am shooting for.

If it wont work oh well I got it for free.

Alot, most people only use the T2 top mount to around 300(maybe) from what Ive read

you need more information on the intercooler to know for certain but I'd lean toward "you shouldn't do it"

Well I left it at the shop(yes i did work human hours today) so Ill have to get a measure ment on it. Im pretty sure its about an 1in bigger on all sides than a FD one. (are there keys for exponents)

FMIC are more for drag racing where cooling the engine is not paramount due to the few seconds of car usage.

For track, longer drives, nothing is better than serving ur radiator (and rest of the engine bay) a nice bath of hot air.

Ur stock mount IC is fine........

Have the dimensions yet? Make sure you measure the core size, inlet and outlet and thickness of the core. How much boost are you looking for, what is done to your engine, etc?

I'm sure it would be okay for a minimal amount of boost if you can't spare the change for a better one. Just make sure you have an EGT reading.

I am planning on it.

I thought it was an alright size. Aaron cake used a stock t2 IC and had no problems. And this one is just a tiny bit bigger lol.It should hold me over until I can get a better one

I've got a bunch of rather large volvo front mount intercoolers sitting in my basement.

I dont need all three of them. :)

What sizes are they. I may be interested. And as soon as i get the rest of the money together I will be sending you payment for a MS unit if you still have them

I'll put up an ad for the MSs for a small fee that will support the forum's new server

Sounds reasonable. I'll see about bringing something like that up to the company for the next batch we do.
