Why do some assholes call in and request songs that are currently in the top 30? I mean, you've got like 1, maybe 2 hours at the most to break away from the daily rotation and listen to songs that you don't hear over and over again every 45 minutes and some moron calls in and requests The Pretender by The Foo Fighters. I just heard that fucking song half an hour ago and some douche bag has to call in, likely from his room, while he's probably holding the same Foo Fighters album that contains the very song that he's about to request, which he is perfectly capable of playing in his CD player and sparing everyone the torture of having to share his moment of self-induced nostalgia with him, but no, he has to make it a request.

Requests should be made for songs that you haven't heard in 10 years, not 10 minutes.

I wholeheartedly agree. In the age of MP3's, the radio is pretty much usless to me. They never play what I want to hear anyway.

I find that as well, but when you are forced to listen to the radio (like if it is being played at work or you're in the car for a long period of time with a nazi) then it really sucks.

I don't like most of the stuff they play on the radio >.> It's usually either R&B, or old stuff.

I understand completely...I had a job once where they tuned in to the most horrible 80's station and broke the knob off. OMFG, they basicly played everything that ever sucked the ENTIRE time you were at work. Bad music, IMO, makes for a hostile work environment.

I have a few gigs of music on my work laptop... Usually have a radio on in the lab if someone's working in there. Everyone that listens to music at work in the area I work in has decent tastes in music.
