I've still got to read The Birds Were Silver Then, by Lowell Peterson and Rum: A Social and Sociable History by Ian Williams.

I'm a big fan of historical-type books.

I liked Watership Down a good deal.

I also liked Snow Crash (I hated Cryptonomicon though)

And Nausiccaa of the Valley of the Wind

I liked "The Cuckoo's Egg" but thats a major nerd book :P

For just 'candy' reading I liked the Rumic World Trilogy :p

And yeah, I'll recommend the Bible . . Ezra/Nehemiah's about where I'm at. The Jews have it as just one book :P I got a daily bible that I'm going through w/ the wife-unit, it has commentary by John Macarthur and he seems to be pretty sound.

Most of the books I've read lately have been Dystopian . . . thats kinda my hobby right now . . . all my movies/books have been like that, "Brave New World," "1984," "The Machine Stops," "We," etc...

Hmmm, I'm thinking about re-reading The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy. Probably the best book I've ever read.

I remember reading a book for college. It was called Feed, it was a lot like 1984, but not a bad read.

How about an adventure story of hope, justice, vengeance, mercy, forgiveness and death? And is among the highest selling books of all time?
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

Do not die without reading this.

I'm a really huge David McCullough fan, Ark. If you like non fiction history stuff I think he's the best going atm.

I just finished the ben franklin bio by someone isaacson (sp?) he was a pretty entertaining character.

Bondage of the Will - Martin Luther. It may make a protestant of you.

I see all these fiction titles. Who has time for reading fiction. Theology is where it's at.

I like fiction books myself but I feel like I'm just wasting time when I could be learning about something, you know? But those non-fiction books are just so dry generally. I just finished read Ted Dekker's Circle Trilogy (Black, Red, and White). Those were some outstanding books.
