Just started playing the games b/c i got the new nintendo (wii) and i must say they are alot of fun! i have been playing, resident evil zero & resident evil 1. I wanted to know about the other ones re 2 & 3... anyone play them?

RE2 was my favorite.

I used to use Gameshark and get all the weapons to kill the undead fuckers. Unlimited Rocket Launcher FTW!

I never used the game shark thing, but Cheatcodes.com used to have all the cool codes to wipe them out. My pride can only take getting my ass beat so many times before drastic measures must be taken.

That T-Virus dude didn't have a chance after that.

Still, I like to try for a while to beat them games before whipping out the cheat codes. I liked the old RE games up until that first-person Doom-style one came out. There was another "online" game, too, but I never got into that one. RE1, RE2, and the third one were my favorites.
I want to get the newest one but I think it's for the PS3, which I'm too broke for these days.

Maybe next year.

The new one will be for Xbox 360. Not sure if it will on PS3 also. Resident Evil 5 and it takes place in Africa. You get to kill a bunch of African Refugee Zombies.

is RE5 available to wii?

I am not sure. I could have sworn I heard 360 got rights to it.

According to several sites, it looks like both XBox 360 and PS3 will have it when it does finally come out.

Looking at some of these sites, I finally remembered which ones I like and which ones I didn't.

Cool: RE1, 2, 3

Sucked: RE Zero, Outbreak, Code Veronica.

I still haven't played 4 and obviously 5 yet, but those two supposedly carry on the real story line.

Zero was that first-person "Doom" style one, which I thought completely sucked. Outbreak was the one where you pick one of 8 characters to play, but it was set up for multi-player on line play, which I thought sucked too. If you play it by yourself, you get whacked easily because the other characters just sit around while you die.

I played Code Veronica while overseas a few years back, and it was ok. It took you through the Umbrella labs and followed that story line, but it didn't have much to do with the original story line. Kind of like a spin off.

RE4 came out on PS2, but I haven't owned a PS2 for a while. I should hit the pawn shops for a cheap one and get it. Supposedly, it picks up where RE3 left off to carry out the real story line. I'm not too interested in the spin offs.
