rodney87 10-22-2006, 03:38 PM I was at the track last night for the one day a month they let anybody race their cars for fun. About an hour or two before they closed down I saw a wonderful sight. Two FC's had lined up at the line for a race, and considering there are only a handful on the island I was stoked. Sadly, when the lady announced the times my heart dropped...16.4 and 16.5. If I didn't have a lady friend in the car with me I would gone over there and slapped both of them silly. The shifts took to long, they didn't launch with high enough RPM's and nobody shot a single flame out the back of the car! Next month I'll be going back, and if either one is there again I'll show him what a 7 can actually do.:soapbox:
rodney87 10-22-2006, 04:35 PM I'm pretty sure they are NA, but so am I, and I hit low to mid 15's. And althought I didn't get to take a good look at them it sounded like one had at least a catback system.

I dont know what its like on the mainland (I hear there's some pretty fast cars), but my measliy 15 sec car can beat most of the street cars around here, even several that are turbo charged.
Terrh 10-22-2006, 10:41 PM my friends bonestock GXL ran a 15.7@87mph. There were maybe another 2 tenths there beating the crap out of it but I'd say that was a pretty good run for the car.
Your S4 NA doesn't trap 99.8 with just an exhaust.
My S4 TIi however does a 11.6@120 on the track, no gtech crap.
rx-7_Z06 10-23-2006, 04:19 AM When I got to run my '86 base on shitty continental tires and stock everything I got a 2.2 60 ft and ran a 16.3. I can't remember the mph, but that is pretty much what stock N/A FCs are supposed to run.

barneymcveigh 10-23-2006, 07:28 PM comkpletely stock my base 87 went 16.2-4ish . with nitrous and full exauhst on some shitty ass 60$ tires it went 15.2-4ish . the nitrous was ghetto and not exactly running correctly it needed to be tuned bad. im pretty confident with a tune and some drag radials it woulda been a 14 second car which is still slow as hell considering with nitrous exauhst a hot cam and some tire my buddys camaro goes 10.8's:blah:

All you have to do to make a civic fast is put a wing on it and upgrade the exhaust tips. Lights, stickers, and hubs don't hurt either.

I have a cone filter on my 240, it was free. Well worth the money for the pseudo-carb sound.
