I talked with steel and he is bogged down with schooling. He finds logging on to chat with mark and us is time taking away from his school work. Simply put, instead of hammering thoughts with us and Mark, he rather put useful energy toward his work. We all had to do that from time to time.

It needs a new water pump seal and its weeping oil from somewhere on the bottom, but I'm going to wait until the 15,000 mile service before I do those, considering i just spent $1500 fixing my car - 4 new struts, gabrials up front, but only mazda OEM or KYB's were available for the the rear, so I went with the KYB's, + 4 new tires Falken Ziex 912's in 205-50-16's, and a 4 wheel alignment. I also bought a replacement front motor mount and rear motor mount inserts cause the stock mazda ones are shitballs (at least my engine doesn't fall out like on the speed 3's! LAWL!) aaaand I got an HID kit cause im fucking sick and tired of changing the goddamn headlight bulbs on taht cunt every 4-6 months.

Oh, and my bicycle got stolen from my buddies last night. Here I was thinking that a $20 cable lock would be.. ya know.. sort of tough to get through. Fucking thieves. If i see someone riding it I swear to god I'm running them down.

OH, in other news, my semester ended up being a disaster regardless, the chick I was starting to see turned out to be a manipulative lying whore slutbag, my friend Shelby got married and now ALL of my friends caught the marriage bug and want to do it, and i found these really great stogies they sell at the Tinderbox made from pipe tobacco called their wilshire cigars. I don't count it as relapse from quitting cigarette smoking since I generally only have one every couple of days.

what began this mess was the unprecedented deregulation of such things as the mortgage industry, and that started in the 1990s, not on Bush's watch. Clinton brought in the most massive era of deregulation this country has ever seen, and we're paying the price for it now. Just like enron, the companies we're seeing being caught in the middle of their own scandals didnt just start their behavior once Bush came to the white house. Take a look at when the whole subprime market opened up, you'll see what I mean there. it wasnt helped by bush, theres no question, but he wasnt the one who began this mess. Banking, mortgages, trade--all and more were deregulated in the 90s. why do you think so many people are losing their houses?? because the mortgage industry was so heavily deregulated and the lenders got so greedy with the new-found revenue stream. They wrote so much paper back then and since then thanks to the Clinton policies....that they would not have written if the regulation was still in place. Those people are the ones who are losing their houses now.

thats a rather simplified description, to be honest. Play along for a minute, and perhaps you will see my point.

I will use myself as an example. at one point in my life, I thought I had it all figured out. I was in great shape, had the career I loved, a nice house, a decent income, and I was always at the center of the party, so to speak. then, I was diagnosed with cancer. Before all was said and done, the friends, the job, the income, all of that was gone. There were times when I didnt have the resources to pay attention! but SOMEHOW, I survived. I was somehow able to get exactly what I needed to get by. i didnt have family helping me, no one was giving me money or paying my bills. But each time I had a need, I was always able to get what I needed. So, the MONEY was there.....but how did it get there? You COULD say that I was just lucky......but if i really was lucky i would never have gotten cancer in the first place, now would I? not to mention, we're talking about YEARS of needs, always being met. that's too much, too often, without ever failing, to be luck. the money i had saved up and set aside was gone in well less than the first year...

So, you say that money is the real power....but I say that God provides what we have, even money, for His purpose. Think about that for a minute. We are blessed with what we have, not for our own purpose. There will most definitely be people who are very blessed with wealth that fail the test. And there are people who are blessed that pass it. What really matters is not what you have, but what you do with it.

thats what people who dont read the bible and follow it dont understand. If you put your life in God's hands, He will bless your life no matter what hardship youre facing--financial, moral, ethical, no matter what it is. We have faith that God will take care of us no matter what is in our path.

Think of it like this--if you believe that it is wrong to have an abortion, is it any less wrong because the economy's hurting? Morals are morals, no matter what outside events take place. If we would all only vote with our conscience instead of our wallets, we would see in the end that the financial issues would be taken care of anyways, and thats what I dont think you understand. the reason why we are in this financial mess is because we elected leaders that used greed to drive their decisions--that IS a moral issue, and you cannot get around that.
