91lx 03-04-2008, 09:04 AM Ordered one last week and 10 mags. Should be here in a week or two. http://cmmginc.secure-mall.com/shop/?shop=1&&cat=33& http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/TennVol/Weapons/DSC00391.jpg Alex-7 03-04-2008, 09:19 AM Hmmm, post pics of yours when you get it. I wonder how rough they really are. Why no handle/rear sight on any of them? Scope mount only? 91lx 03-04-2008, 09:28 AM Long thread with pics and info below. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=21&t=475652&page=1 Alex-7 03-04-2008, 10:20 AM What are you gonna put as an upper on yours? TJGoSurf 03-04-2008, 12:41 PM I'm a little confused, they ship the gun right to your house? Do you have to send them a background check or something to stay within the law? Alex-7 03-04-2008, 12:50 PM They only ship to a dealer with an FFL. (gun shop pawn shop etc.) They do the transfer and background check. Usually for $20-30. Archie's8 03-04-2008, 03:48 PM Sketchy. Let us know if you die from it. Vert8813B 03-05-2008, 10:54 AM Yeah I wouldn't trust a gun clearly marked "As-is." I would have spent a little bit more money to get something new and reputable. skydivr7673 03-05-2008, 10:55 AM I dont know, the brands they seem to offer dont make this much of a bargain. Right now you can go to Atlantic Firearms and get a brand new DPMS M-4 for $699, comes with a couple 30rd mags. It's got the -A1 carry handle, but it's brand new in box. By the time you get that one home, inspect it, and then complete it, you wont have saved very much money. Still, let us know how it goes. Archie's8 03-05-2008, 02:31 PM Guns and women are something that shouldn't generally be skimped on. Both are definitely things that could blow up in your face... Booyah 03-05-2008, 04:07 PM not sure why you would want any of these guns, I hate the m-16 and all its brethren. 91lx 03-05-2008, 05:19 PM Already have a Colt AR. If I dont like this one, wont be hard to sell or trade it. Archie's8 03-06-2008, 02:40 AM not sure why you would want any of these guns, I hate the m-16 and all its brethren. Old school GAU/GUU variant is pretty kick ass. Nothing like some full auto with no forward assist FTMFW. DejaVu 03-09-2008, 09:45 PM Wow wish I could do this DejaVu 03-09-2008, 09:45 PM Nice, cool sweet DejaVu 03-09-2008, 09:45 PM I never saw anything like this before, were cna I get it 91lx 03-19-2008, 06:16 PM Will be here Friday. If it looks good I may order another one. 1revnrex 03-20-2008, 06:50 PM You want cheap? http://www.del-ton.com/AR_15_Rifle_Kits_16_s/57.htm Any of those and than go to www.spikestactical.com and get a stripped lower for $105.00 Decent rifle for around 600-625. Eatmyclutch 03-21-2008, 12:37 AM Guns and women are something that shouldn't generally be skimped on. Both are definitely things that could blow up in your face... haha 91lx 03-24-2008, 12:05 AM Came in Friday. Shot 200rds thru it today. Its a CMMG. Bought a cheap red dot sight earlier and mounted it. Glad it didnt come with a retarded fixed carry handle. Vert8813B 03-24-2008, 07:49 AM Ok so you are still alive. How's the calibration? skydivr7673 03-24-2008, 09:20 AM how bad is it? What kind of shape is it in, any blemishes noticeable? I read thru that thread and just about everyone who bought one of these couldnt find the blemishes on theirs. Thinking pretty seriously about actually doing this too, the price is certainly good 91lx 03-24-2008, 04:17 PM Looks brand new. Cant tell that its ever been fired. Will upload pics from work. Alex-7 03-26-2008, 07:47 PM Yeah, that thread is certainly convincing. Vert8813B 03-26-2008, 08:55 PM Without me going back what was it missing? An upper? A lower? Stock? 91lx 03-27-2008, 01:02 AM Only thing it doesnt have is a rear sight. The red dot sight kinda defeats the purpose of that unless you want iron sights for backup. Vert8813B 03-27-2008, 07:22 AM Wow so not a bad deal at all. Was it pretty accurate when you were firing it? Still has a nice impact at 200 yds? Archie's8 03-27-2008, 11:33 AM Cool, I retract my naysayer-ass comments. 91lx 04-11-2008, 04:05 PM http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f348/axistang/ar15.jpg Pic of mine. Still needs a riser and a real scope. About 400 rounds thru it so far. 1revnrex 04-12-2008, 12:33 AM Damn its in great shape skydivr7673 04-13-2008, 08:55 PM can you tell what brand the lower is? Nothing visible int he pic.... wow, looks right out of the box! Me thinks I have to get in on this one.... 1revnrex 04-13-2008, 09:05 PM can you tell what brand the lower is? Nothing visible int he pic.... wow, looks right out of the box! Me thinks I have to get in on this one.... I would guess DPMS. They dont have them listed on the site anymore though. skydivr7673 04-14-2008, 12:08 AM DPMS stamps their lowers with their logo....that one's plain on the side. Alex-7 04-14-2008, 12:14 AM They were only DPMS and double star or something right? must be the latter. 1revnrex 04-14-2008, 12:30 AM They were only DPMS and double star or something right? must be the latter. You are correct sir. 1revnrex 04-14-2008, 12:30 AM DPMS stamps their lowers with their logo....that one's plain on the side. You are also correct sir. Brain fart on my behalf. 91lx 04-14-2008, 12:42 AM CMMG lower. Stamping is on the other side. Glad it wasnt a double star. I have one more on the way, hope its identical. |
