This will probably get moved to Entertainment but here goes...

Have you guys seen this, now cancelled, show and movie? While I enjoy science and astronomy stuff, I'm not your classic scifi geek. I was introduced to this show by a coworker and I have to say it's well written. Imagine if someone made a tv show about Han Solo and his work as a smuggler with the millenium falcon and you get an idea of what this show is like.

Unfortunately it was not received well during it's first season run and was cancelled by Fox after 14 episodes. Interestingly enough, a movie for the series was released last year called Serenity. I think the series is replayed on the scifi channel.

I bought the movie on a lark, it was pretty decent. IT did make me want to buy the TV season.

I remember that show, its to bad it got the boot. I like'd that show, but didn't know they made a movie. I'll have to check it out some time.

Yeah, for a bunch of no name actors except the red haired dood. It was a good movie, never saw the tv series.

Loved the show, Movie was good.

Fox went out of their way to kill the show. First they showed it out of order (with the pilot being shown 10th) then they switched nights on it twice and interupted it like 3 times. I was never able to catch one episode on Tv had to DL all of them to watch it.

DVD set is well worth the money.

Serenity was playing on HBO this weekend, Watch part of it 3 times but still did not see it all.
