I've seen these around a bit, and it seems like more manufacturers are making them... How's the sound quality? Anyone have any experience with them?

The best sounding shallow mount subs I've heard were from Elemental Designs. Their regular subs are highly impressive too. You can only buy them from the company though because they don't sell them in stores. www.edesignaudio.com is the website.

i posted this at the rx7club, but dynaudio mw190 would be your best bet or velodyne for shallow mount. A good thing is they dont require alot of power, but they wont get super loud.

Elemental makes great stuff from what i've heard. Im pretty sure that Blaupunkt makes a shallow mount too.
