I got two pairs of Nautica brand jeans that are a little too big on me. They're borderlining ghetto big. I've only worn them once or twice and it seems like a waste to see them collect dust in my closet. Is there a way i can shrink them without ruining the indigo? I googled up a few ideas which involved throwing them in the drier on high heat.

Wash them first. Then throw them in the dryer on high heat.

Hot water, high heat dry.

Next time, buy some that fit.

lol you talk about indigo as if you know about jeans. Just put them in a dryer a couple of times and see how it goes from there.

Those jeans you bought from Nautica are probably pre-washed. So there's really no loss of indigo if you dry them...

I've lost 20 lbs in the past several months, and I've got 5 pairs of Dickies pants, I'm going to see if it works on them too, I dont want to have to go out and buy 5 more pairs X_X

I hate clothes shopping.

^^^ Probably not, it's only first time in the dryer that makes it shrink significantly. Good luck trying to get it to shrink the size you want it.

Shopping's fun with a girl? Hah... Funny. "Should I get this or this? Or that? Maybe i should go back to American Eagle and see which one i should get... Lets go to American Eagle". "Eh... Let's go back to Aeropostale." "Let's check out Hollister and we can go back to American Eagle later".

No thanks. Shopping is fun only when you have a load of cash that you can go to a store with, pick the shit you want, line up, pay, and gtf out.

Well, it helps to have someone to shop with...

I have ZERO sense of style.

I know how to go through the actions of dressing myself. I can put on a shirt and pants, and I consider it a good day if I make it out of the house without being arrested for indecent exposure... Got real close once too. I used to have a pair of pants that I could take a dump in without pulling down. I just cut my jeans collection down from 30 pairs to 8 by pitching anything with a hole or stain bigger than a quarter.

To go with them, I pitched 5 denim shirts after I wore one and my housemate said I had on a redneck tuxedo.

After walking outside in an hold High School gym uniform, I realized that I probably needed to buy new clothes, and hence the shopping.

I realized I needed help shopping after thinking, "There's nothing wrong with the clothes I'm gonna throw out, Lemmie just go back through that trashbag."

This expands out into my home improvement dealings... While I have no problem with two bare 60 Watt lightbulbs screwed into my ceiling with a pull string to turn them on, it's not terribly attractive in a bedroom. A nice little glass fixture might look better. And they were only like $5.

Well that's easy, just gain 20 lbs and they will fit again.

Your welcome.

Do they shrink permanently? I don't want to wash them and dry them over and over again every time i need to wear them.

maybe if they didn't fit in the first place you should have kept the tags on and told your mom to return the pants.

well, next time your mom buys you jeans that re to big, wash them, and when they are damp, put them on so that they dry to your form....

or

...you can put NEW jeans on befor they are washed, and sit in a tub full of HOT water, they will shrink to your fit, and then wash and dry them
