Seems a little lack luster to me, like the new Metallica one, but still badass.

Ive listened to the title track and it is pretty insane. Joey Jordison is a ridiculous drummer.

For now, I'm leaning toward Gematria, Vendetta, and This Cold Black.....but they all are cool. I'm not too much into the slower ones but overall it's not a bad album.

I came in here expecting to see a bunch of Slipknot hate, because that's what I see on forums a lot of the time. Surprisingly, only one person took a shot at 'em. Well you're all fucking stupid cuz Slipknot sucks.

Kidding. I love Slipknot. They've been my favourite band for like 7 years, so I was ridiculously pumped for AHIG. Waited way too long for it.

Before AHIG is gone, I thought Vol. 3 was the best album in the world, and it's still up there, but it's possible that AHIG is tied for the number 1 spot. I don't know, though. Still, that would make AHIG my second favourite album.

They said they were going to continue the experimentation that was on Vol. 3 but they lied a bit. It's still experimental like every Slipknot CD is, but it's mainly just experimental metal, whereas Vol. 3 was all over the place.

Everyone is on point here, yet again. Corey puts on a clinic. I mean, he does like 5 or 6 different vocal styles in the first few songs. Gehenna scared the shit out of me when the screaming came in, and the transition in that song is incredible.

I'm not going to talk about every single song, but I will say that this album doesn't disappoint and anybody who's open to different genres and not just more generic metal should pick it up. Slipknot goes against the idiocy associated with some metal.
