I beg to differ. &nbsp;My Millenia handles REALLY well (especially for such a huge car), and it sits higher than the Jetta I bet........

I assure you, it handles extremely well. I would have to say that its the best handelings car ive ever driven/owned &nbsp; &nbsp;It surpasses the 300zxs cornering ability by more then twice. When i first put the springs on, i kept the stock struts. It was real bouncy and un predictible. &nbsp;I bought a set of KYB gr2 tho, and it made the world of differance. &nbsp;I hope to make it a strong competitor in SCCA events, and maybe jsut maybe, ill be able to hit up some road atlanta this summer. &nbsp;we'll see.

No, I run nitto nt 450s, and yes I will gladly run you uo the saluda grade. &nbsp;to make it fair since the 300 has a extreme power advantage i say we each make a run in each car. &nbsp; neither one of us are famaliar with the othes car. should make it more fair.

only one condition, you promise not to ralley my car into a curb.

heh, i agree we don't stand a chance against an E36 in a straight line. &nbsp;However if u asked me that question a couple of months ago... &nbsp;<img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp; What stegall and are going to do is compare the 240 and 300zx with times up the saluda grade. &nbsp;I've never driven a 240, but i'm sure that they're more nimble than the 3,400lb ZX, but the ZX has a little more power out of the turns. &nbsp;Ought to be interesting.

BTW the 300ZX isn't &quot;my&quot; car, its my dads, but i drive it enough. &nbsp;My daily driver is a 99 Scoobie 2.5 RS

Punter, my friend Clay has a e36 M you've meet him, he works at euro sports. He has H/R springs on his car, but horrific camber problems. *On the high way, he is jsut barely able to pull on me. *But his car is an auto. *Off the line I beat it. 30-70 he pulls then were close to dead even. *Handleing I think I have him. If he could work out his camber issues then his car would be a real threat. *By no means am I saying his car dosn't handel, but it has absoutly terrible understeer ( we found that out last year around a extreme hair pin *- dont ask what appened. Must have been some serious problems with his M3 then, the auto is quite a bit slower than the manual but still does 60 in about 6.2 totally stock

Okay Clint! &nbsp;We go to school with him and CLEARLY we are incapable of noticing camber issues...Gee I thought Ive ridden in it countless times...my mistake. &nbsp;Clint always knows best. &nbsp;Stop treating other people like theyre stupid.

Maybe you havn't seen it in a while clint... The rear wheels have ( rough estimate ) 4 degrees+ negative camber. *The fronts go posotive when you step on it. maybe im jsut blind...

Also punter, his car is quick, jsut once it gets out of the hole. It leaves the line like a sack of bricks. &nbsp;Once it gets up in the rpms tho, its moves. &nbsp;But like I said, on the interstate, he cant leave me. Maybe its weak. I know its around 100k miles. &nbsp;Then maybe again my cars jsut got good top end. &nbsp;I know for a fact, i have better top end than a mustang. &nbsp;My 240 pulls alot harder then my stang ever did. &nbsp; Chris can vouch for the the 240 having supriseing top end. &nbsp;I beleive chris' exact words were &quot; this thing feels like it will barely get out of its own way, but it really hauls ass in the top end &quot;

I have a G-Tech Pro, you need to have something like that because it's pretty much impossible to get anywhere near accurate just using a stopwatch or something. I mean even a half a second is huge in 0-60 times and there's just no way to get that accurate timing it yourself.

I have raced Punters M3 from 0-60 and on the interstate. &nbsp;I have many mods to my 240 and i got left in the dust. &nbsp;The 240sx is slow out of the hole it is also slow once it gets going. &nbsp;I mean it is in no way a fast car and it is no where near as fast as any M3. &nbsp;Let me know your 0-60 times. &nbsp;The stock 240sx does 0-60 in the manual in 8.4. &nbsp;An e36 M3 in auto is good for 0-60 in 6.1 and manual in 5.5. &nbsp;So either way theres no way a 240 with minor mods could handle this.

Hey clemets I want to race your car. *When I raced clay on the insterstate, we were on 26 doing about 70 *He'd stomp it, you would hear it down shift, and id hit it in 3rd, and he barely pulled on me. *off the line, I pull about a car legenth on him, then he leaves me. We all 4 need to get together, and compare clay and punters ride, mine and yours, then the 240s against the m's.

I'm not exagerating about him barely pulling on me either. I know ya'll are probably doubting it, but his car really isnt that fast. My friends 1980 280zx 5 speed almsot kept up with it on the interstate. *

My mustang I had would absoutly kick his ass. We raced several times. I think the fact that his M3 is slow off the line must be due to the fact that it's an auto, I've never driven an auto M3 though (it was a crime to even make them if you ask me) so I can't say for sure. tsk tsk, racing isn't all about straight lines...it's about driver skill. &nbsp;What's the point of going in a straight line? &nbsp;It takes the danger element out. &nbsp;anyone that can shift fast, and has power mods can take it down the drag strip, but can they take that same car to the mountains, and race up/down it? &nbsp;and w/o killing themselves or someone else. &nbsp;Spice it up, throw something new into the mix.

I figured yall were racing from a roll in a straight line or something. Sorry for butting in. In the next few months ill more than accept the challenge in the curves or basically anywhere possible. I am trying to set my car up with a ton more of suspension parts so not only will i be a nightmare in the straights but i will stick like tar in the turns. Racing around curves is good fun and all but when its done on public roads then it becomes a test of who is willing to drive like the biggest idiot rather than who has the most driving skill. I'm not going to hit 100 in a 55 or take blind turns halfway on the wrong side of the road and would therefore lose to someone who was willing to do so, that wouldn't prove anything about who is a better drive just who gives the least of a crap about possibily killing someone else driving on the road. Huh? I don't even understand the whole point about people in japan driving on mountains so I'll just leave that alone.......but as for rally races, those don't take place on public roads, which is my whole point. Of course it takes skill to race up and down a mountain, and rally drivers are VERY skilled drivers, but doing it on a public road where the whole point is &quot;to see if you can do it without killing someone else&quot; is just stupid. My original point was that doing it on a public road doesn't reveal who is really the most skilled driver, it just shows who is willing to drive like the biggest idiot. Someone thinking they won a race just because they were the only one willing to triple the speed limit and cut into other lanes around blind corners is no different than the idiots who get blown away by 10 car lengths to 60 and then 15 seconds later come flying by doing 100 and think they won.
