anyone here ever shoot one of the new sigma 9mm pistols?

I had one of the older sigma .40S&W pistols. It was a complete pile of shit. I sold it within three months. Don't know if that helps you any.

I bought a new one and it wouldn't shoot. I had to send it back to the factory to get repaired. Needless to say I sold it.

IMHO before i would spend the $350 or so that they sell for around here i would get a used Glock in good condition

They have these for 249 right now, with 2 extra clips, at a local sporting goods store...I read some reviews and it seems within the last 2 years the quality has improved... Can anyone confim that?

Good guns, but i refuse S&W due to the goddamn locks on revolvers.

the last wheelgun I had was the model 629 combat magnum .44, stainless with round-butt walnut grips. Shot just fine, but I am not a big fan of revolvers. Havent tried the Sigma's at all personally....but I also used to have a Smith model 639 in 9mm and it was the worst piece of junk. The barrel was prone to jumping around excessively when firing, so the gun was not very accurate. Sent it back to S&W and they bench-tested it, only to find the same thing I found. I didnt keep that one around very long. And I havent picked up a Smith autoloader ever since.

I never has any problems with the 44 mag

Oh i know they don't cause any problems generally (except for the big boomers, i heard some people having them jam on them) but its the principle of the matter.

i have a .40 sigma... i realize lots of people say they are piles of shit but mine has yet to fuck up. granted i've only put about 400 rounds through it. i like it a lot, very comfortable in my hand. does hop real bad...
