Where did you take these pictures? I grew up in Idaho - those pictures look really familiar, but I can't say I know exactly where that is. Yes, that area can be very beautiful at times.

Rich people live there?

by what measure?

Ever hear of East palo alto in CA?

for a few years they had the highest murder per capita in the USA. Place was like Iraq.

Today new homes there go for $600k+

and that doesn't come with spakling for bullet holes.

that second picture was taken from the belltower at Teton Village in Jackson Hole.

eh... people = stupid. the less people there are the better it is.

Rich people live there?yeah.

when the billionaires are pushing the millionaires out of town, I think that you can consider them "rich"

thats a drop in the bucket compaired to Jackson Hole.

Rent on a 2 bedroom apartment up there is bordering $3,000 a month from what some of the guys I was talking to are saying.

Dick Cheney owns a house up there, Ian Cummings (not that you would know who he is) owns a house up there, the governor the senators, house representatives.... the list keeps going.

Ahh, Jackson Hole. What an awesome place to ski. Some of the runs are literally breathtaking. Corbet's is insane. I was unaware that land was getting so expensive over there. I haven't been there in 10 years - things have probably changed quite a bit.

you wouldn't believe all the changes.

Did you go after they built the gondolla? The Tram is being shut down next fall, so you have one more season to go ski from the tram before its gone. They haven't yet decided what to install in its place, but they are talking a small surface lift from the bowl on the south face so you would have to ride Sublette up and ski over then ride up to the peak.

But, what do you expect when a new tram is going to cost more then $20 million.

I expect them to build a new one! That mountain would not be the same without the gondola. It was also a great tourist attraction in the summer time. The views from there are unbelievable.

so what the fuck do you do for social fun? You can't shoot guns all the time. You probably walk into a bar and have 30 mountainmen all firing on the same 3 chicks.

Out of the 50 most overpriced home markets in the US, Cali represents 17 of them so pretty much the whole state is overpriced. Where do the poor people live?

San Diego has slowed from 29.8 percent in 2004 to just 8.2 percent in the second quarter. Las Vegas from 48.7 percent growth to 11.2 percent.

This may be just the beginning. According to Celia Chen, economist for Economy.com, there could soon be some major pullbacks in the most heated regional housing markets.

The poor people either live with relatives or they rent.

I have a $365,000.00 mortgage for 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house in Ontario, California built in 1977. Ontario is not the best city to live in, but we got lucky with a quite community and the house is only 100-200 yards from Rancho Cucamonga (way nicer). You guys may remember Rancho Cucamonga from the second Friday movie.

I got the house about 3 months ago and it will sell for $430,000.00 just like a crappier house in back of ours sold for about 2 weeks ago.

Something's gotta give. These ridiculous prices cannot last forever. How is everyone else going to afford a house here?
