I was told you were teh Jesus of paint restoration. Well heres what I've got:
The hood. Most of the car looks like this. It's pretty faded and draging your finger across it leaves marks and some crap on your fingers. Too far gone? Camera is old, picture is crappy but it should give you an idea.

Driver side front fender. Goes from faded blue to almost white/silver above the wheel. Proly nothing can be done about this other than a respray but IDK.

Passenger side. Almost perfect for some reason. Clear is flaking off the top of fron fender but the rest of the passenger side looks like this and looks pretty good after a wash. This is what I'd like to get close to with the rest of it.

This is what the 90% of it looks like minus two spots that have faded to a white/silver color like in picture 2

I don't have the time or the money to paint the car right now nor do I have anything more that elbow grease to get it done with. So, can it be saved?

I am not SNTP, but I will tell you that some of the paint can be saved, and the rest of it can be stabilized so it won't deteriorate further. But that coat of paint will never look GOOD, so you'll just have to put up with some ugly until you can save money for a respray.

Right now that really what I want. I know it will never look good but if I can keep it from turning white like thr RF fender I'll be happy. Looking to paint it middle of next year, maybe sooner.

That's clear coated? If so, you're fucked. Usually when there's small (around 1-4 inches max) clear coat failure, you can apply 3M chip protection films to the failing areas to keep them from spreading. There's nothing much you can do with your failing paint/clearcoat. I would try sanding it down with 2000, 3000 grit, then 4000 grit. After you're down sanding, just polish it down. I wouldn't waste my time with it... Just save up for a new paint job (prep the car yourself if you're going to get a new paint job).

Thanks for the info. I've never done any paint prep work, got any tips on how to do it?
