$100T2 05-17-2006, 11:23 PM ...on Ebay. A factory Ford radio!
6 disc in-dash CD changer that reads MP3s, built by Pioneer. I'm looking forward to not changing CDs for at least a month. On average, I can fit 175 songs per CD in MP3 format, so that's over 1000 songs right there without having to worry about dragging an iPod back and forth, etc. Plus, the color scheme matches my interior, it's simple to use, and it's double-DIN, so the horrible ABS piece that came in the previous owner's install kit is fucking history.
Life is good.
$100T2 05-17-2006, 11:30 PM Ebay is your friend Mark... I mean, yeah, it's a tool of the Devil, but you can still get yourself a deal.
rx-7_Z06 05-18-2006, 04:33 AM this thread is worthless without pics.
rxtasy 05-18-2006, 06:36 AM putting Ford in a Mazda now i've heard everything.:hide:

I paid $125.01 for it.
Hades12 05-18-2006, 09:57 AM That looks like it was removed in a hurry
RB240 05-18-2006, 10:15 AM damn, thats not too bad. great deal in my opinion!

Yeah, that's what I thought... cut the wires a little shorter? LOL
JPAccord 05-18-2006, 01:49 PM The deck looks nice though, its got a nice design for something stock. Nice buy.
clean85owner 05-18-2006, 02:53 PM Good deal, man! Must've "fallen off the back of the truck", huh?
Tranquil 05-18-2006, 03:00 PM I think that's a great score, but personally it looks a little too high tech for a retro FB.
I'm a retro kinda guy. Its hip to be retro, haven't you heard?
2ndGen.Rocket 05-18-2006, 03:58 PM It's however not hip to drive around with a stereo that's so old it can't reproduce modern music without distorting like a bitch.
Good score. I have no idea what that thing is out of however, I've never seen one. A couple of the Mustangs I had for company vehicles had the Mach stereos in them with the 6 disc, they were pretty nice.
Tranquil 05-18-2006, 04:02 PM There are plenty of headunits that match an older interior perfectly. I'm planning on getting a Nakamichi for my FB. Not flashy and subtle.

Thank you.

It's from some Canadian guy, so does anyone know if Canada has different Ford models/options than the US? I've driven the Mustangs with the indash changer, that's why I jumped all over this when I saw it... 6 disc + MP3... :worship:
clean85owner 05-19-2006, 01:32 PM Nakamichis, albeit excellent head untis, are NOT $125. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen one below $600; although, I must be honest in saying that I haven't done thorough searching for them.
Say No To Pistons 05-19-2006, 03:06 PM ^ :werd: for the Nakamichis... those are probably the kings of headunits... work of art.
$100T2 07-01-2006, 02:54 PM And it doesn't work. Just opened a claim with Paypal.
DeRFmAn 07-01-2006, 06:24 PM ouch.
I've got an xplod headunit.....its similar to the dash lighting. Figured that was good for me.
$100T2 07-01-2006, 08:19 PM Yeah, he put on the auction that it "works perfectly." Sure it does. That's why it was shipped with 6 discs in it, and I had to take it apart to get them out. Luckily, I caught it in time to open the dispute, or I would have been fucked.
DeRFmAn 07-01-2006, 11:31 PM Did he have a good seller rating?
$100T2 07-02-2006, 07:50 AM Yep. Click the auction link on the first page of this thread.
$100T2 07-06-2006, 09:06 AM He refunded me the money, didn't even ask for the CD player back.
:)
Say No To Pistons 07-06-2006, 12:36 PM so does the player work? :)
$100T2 07-07-2006, 08:17 AM No. I disassembled it, I think one of the motors is shot.
But, I found a new headunit I like better on Ebay, so that's what I'm going to go with.

:)
Nice, freebie, if you get it working.
