I came across a really clean 1992 GTR at the importer and decided to pick it up.
Just got it home last night.. they're pretty awesome cars. "interesting" handling.. a ton of grip, power oversteer (unlike anything AWD I've driven before), but the 4WS feels weird if you jerk the wheel left to right or try and transition quickly. (like, say, quick back and forth lane change).

I'll post some pics later.

It looks like it'll be a project though, since as I was driving it home (about 300 miles) it started knocking.. I think it spun a rod bearing. (yeah, I'm really pissed about that).

Wait, are they allowing them to be imported in pieces and then assembled as a kit car to get licensed

not in your country!

(not here either, that's ridiculous... it's just a straight up import here)

lol, you can run it against my fd if you want to come to sc. I think you'd be pretty disappointed with the outcome though.

Agreed. I ran against my buddy's R32 GTS before my 7 got a tune (was only at 247whp) and stomped him pretty solidly.

I'd like to run a decently modified GT-R to see what all the fuss is about. There's a Major who works on the same base as me with an R34 GT-R, I need to corner him and get him out on the road one day =P
