Disclaimer: I know there are many good professional drivers out there, so if you're one of them, this rant isn't about you.
So I was driving my FD to work this morning and just pulled out of my neighborhood onto the main road, 1 lane each way, 35 mph speed limit. I pulled out after this either SBC or Edison work-truck passed by, and was behind him. He starts slowing down, going about 25-30, and then after a minute turns on his signal to make a right turn into a parking lot, and slows down to about 15-20. I have legal passing so I start to go around him as he starts his turnoff, but all of the sudden he turns right back onto the road, accelerates, and kills the signal. I should have just kept going and passed him but I just slowed down and got back behind him.
Well he's still going really slow and starts riding his brakes again, so I say screw it and go to pass him for real since I'm still in a passing zone. This scumbag motherfucker all of the sudden starts to turn LEFT in front of me into a driveway, no turn signal, nothing. I had to downshift, swerve into the dirt shoulder, and floor it to get around him in time! Then this inbred piece of shit has the nerve to start yelling something out his window at ME?! I didn't even get a chance to flip the guy the bird or anything.
This is just one example of the absolute fucking IDIOTS I see driving for a living, whether they're actual truck drivers, or just drive around in a work van/truck. These so-called "professional" drivers are the most arrogant and incompetent asswipes I've ever seen. Just a few examples of the shit I've seen from "professional drivers"--
- Big rig was approacing stopped traffic in a traffic jam, wasn't paying attention and SLAMMED into the back of a stopped car, totalling it.
- Big rig swerved into my lane when I was right next to him and would have rammed me, had I not caught it immediately and swerved into the next lane. Again, this assclown wasn't paying attention to the fact he was catching up to slower traffic in front of him and didn't bother to look before swerving.
- Half of the assholes that drive trucks for a living don't give two shits about holding up people on the freeways. I can't tell you how many times on my various road-trips across the country I've seen trucks just cruising in the passing lane, at 5-10 UNDER the limit, right next to a truck in the right lane. And when they go to pass?! It could be a downgrade yet these asshole truckers take 5+ minutes to complete a pass.
- Idiots driving these utility/work trucks (as mentioned in my story above) have no clue what they're doing, or where they're going, and 9 times out of 10 are also talking on the damn CELL PHONE *WHILE* they're trying to figure out where they are. Hence shit happens like in my story above.
There are so many discourteous, arrogant assholes on the roads, but no one group of drivers comes close to "professionals". You'd think there would be alot stricter requirements to license people to drive for a living, and the caliber of driver would be much higher, but instead you get the most incompetent and arrogant assholes on the face of the earth.
I'm sick of dealing with these fuckers. I hope they all die of Ghonnorea and rot in hell.
