With the pilot bearing going out, I didn't want to launch at too high of the rpm and feather the clutch. Pushing my car home didn't seem like a good idea.
So, I got to a good stretch of flat, straight road without anyone on it, set up the G-Tech, and dropped the clutch from about 2000rpm. I still spin the fronts a little (god damn front wheel drive) and power along through the gears.
I tried it twice (don't want to beat it up too much), and the best I got was a 0-60 of 6.7 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 15.2 at 94.3 mph. When the car first came out, I heard reports of 14.9 1/4 times, but I was always skeptical about that. Now that I actually tried it with a G-tech, I think those time would be quite possibly on a sticky track with a good clutch and whatnot.
Current atmosphere:
64 degrees Farenheit
49% humidity
Overcast
6 mph wind from the NNE
Pressure 30.07in. and rising
I was driving north.
Not too shabby for a 4 door, front wheel drive, daily driver that averages 280 miles on a tank. Surely, it's slower than my FB, but the FB no longer runs, and I used to wish for 180 miles on a tank.
So, what do your DDs run, guys?
