I can assure you, it's good... Just got back from a special screening, and I have to say that it easily makes an argument for best action movie of '08 (so far).

It's especially awesome if you actually know the story before the movie. No War Machine, but there's a STRONG hint at his appearance in the sequel (the movie pretty much guarantees there will be one, really)

So yeah. Drop everything you have to do this Friday and go see it.

I've been lookin forward to this movie for weeks, the previews look kick ass. I'll be getting my tickets early friday for sure.

BUT will it be cooler than Indiana Jones? We already know the dark knight will be the best movie this year.

Probably not "cooler", since if they managed to get Harrison Ford's fossilized ass back into an action role to potentially embarrass himself, the movie HAS to be cool. (word has it that it took 10 years to find a script that Steven Spielburg, George Lucas AND Ford agreed on)

But I can confidently say it will at least be just as cool. Kinda hard to compare an alcoholic in a mech suit to a guy in a neat hat with a bullwhip. lol

yah Ironman looks awesome. Can't wait to see it. Looks like they added a lot of humour to it too. Hopefully all that was good wasn't already shown in the trailer though. It's like the spoof done on Onion.com.

Watched it on Friday night, I couldn't believe the movie theatre was still packed. It was wonderful, great graphics, nice story but seemed a little bias imo and a little exaggeration. Only showed the US Air Force. :cool:

They had to show his background and how well he worked. Look at the differences in stark's suit and the one made by a group of engineers.

I thought the movie was pretty good. The modded 737 was pretty cool. Make sure you stay until the very, very end.

Yeah, some of the Air Force stuff was canned. Especially the part when Terence Howard was lecturing all of the pilots. And no cell phones in the vault.

When I saw the ending, and I heard his voice, I knew exactly who it was. I immediately thought it was Glassman from Unbreakable. Now how are they going to tie those two movies together?

And "The Dude" was in it so it has to be good. He did fail to say "Dude" once during the entire movie.

and how can anyone bitch about the premise of this movie? Seriously, it really follows a similar structure that was proven to work amazingly well with Batman Begins. Although, Batman Begins did do a much more in-depth character development.
