$100T2 02-26-2006, 06:39 PM ... starting my own business on the side.
Some of you may remember the cabinet I built for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day... She is really into antiques and handmade furniture, and told me a cabinet like that could sell for between $250 and $400. Not bad, considering it was about 4 hours of work and $50 in material, and the only reason it took 4 hours was because I engineered it as I went... I could probably duplicate it in about an hour and a half... So, I'm thinking of doing that on the side, so that maybe, someday, I could just do that from home and not have to sweat the 9 to 5 thing.
I know Manntis owns his own business, do any of you have any advice/suggestions/ideas?
I have ideas for about 6 different pieces of furniture, mostly cabinets like the one I built. I'm wondering if I should have a website or what...
This is just in the "kicking around the idea" phase, so I don't really have any real battle plan.

$100T2, I thought you were married. WTF is "Girlfriend"?
I already told you... he's not fully divorced from the first wife yet

Savington 02-26-2006, 09:13 PM So where'd Kyan come from?
I like you better when you're sucking bat dick and not asking pointless questions.
$100T2 02-26-2006, 10:17 PM So where'd Kyan come from?
Wow, nice to see my personal life is being batted around.
Yes, I am in the end stages of divorce. Kyan is my son with my soon to be ex-wife. Yes, I have a girlfriend who I have been with now for about 9 months. She has a daughter named Lily, who is about a year and a half older than Kyan.
$100T2 02-26-2006, 10:19 PM fine woodworking is an art....from what I've seen, you don't have it
furthermore, there is no money in it unless you are considered one of the best
First off, never claimed I was a "fine woodworker". Second, I never asked for your judgment about the quality of my work. Third, my girlfriend, who knows a hell of a lot more about it than you (unless of course, there is some chapter in the Bible, or section of "answersingenesis.org" that gives you the breakdown on furniture characteristics), said that piece would sell in about 5 minutes.
So again, Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

$100T2 02-27-2006, 08:03 AM where? a garage sale?
so now your girlfriend is an expert on woodworking? bahahahahahahaha
my dad has been an expert in woodworking for about 40 years....I've seen the BEST in walnut, rosewood, and many exotic hardwoods...your plywood creations would be tossed out on the street with a roar of laughter
Well, my Dad can beat up your Dad. You're like a 7 year old.
Seriously, Mark, you are psychotic.
No, my girlfriend isn't an expert on woodworking... But, she is an expert on antiques and handmade furniture. What makes her an expert? The fact that she buys and sells it. She knows what to buy, and she knows what sells.
So, again:
Shut. The. Fuck. Up.
But, it's interesting: You think you are stronger than everyone, you think your motorcycle is the best, you think your car is the best, you think you are right about everything, you think your religion is the only true way, you cast dispersions at everyone, and you think you are smarter than everyone.
So, we can therefore deduce you have a really small penis, and a massive inferiority complex.
fcdrifter13 02-27-2006, 08:11 AM do you have any pics of what you built...my uncle does wood working and ill ask him if you have any mad tyte skillz yo. There is a ton of maoney to be made in cabinet making. Amatures around here can sell a corner cabinet for around 600 and the pros can make double that. the price is also dependent on what material you are using and, how the workman ship is. Also on the detail of the piece, such as what did you use at the joints, routering techniqes and other things of that nature

$100T2 02-27-2006, 04:42 PM is your girlfriend hot? pics?
I think she's hot, but to each his own... She was going to let me put up pics of her for the Thong Thursday thread, but after she joined here and people started shit with her, she said "Fuck that place."
