The company I officially work for has been in the red for months now, hoped to sell >30 units this summer and ended up selling 4.
The company I've been working for (that I was originally hired by in '99) doesn't have much use for me anymore apparently, since I've been getting more and more shit jobs. I haven't heard officially yet, but the rumor mill is churning...
I'm kind of hoping they do, that'd give me an excuse to get my ass out of this goddamned town and get a job doing what I've been going to school for, and get paid for what I'm worth rather than what they can afford.
I'm sure enough about it that I sent a resume in to Lockheed Martin, they have an opening for a calibration tech seeking someone with my qualifications. :dunno:

My dad worked there for about 20 years, and I still keep my horse out there and know people in the company. I've put in for summer interns there back in high school, but I'm sure those files have been deleted by now.
I've done some contract work for them in the past where I currently work, built an AE system for them and Boeing as well.
I wonder if I could use my horse as a reference? He's been living out there for about 18 years...

I friend of mine is an associate systems engineer for Lockheed. He works on the communications stuff at StratCom. Seems like a pretty good company to work for. Good luck.

Yup, it's official. Got "the talk" today as I left.
I think I cornfused dave though, when he said "I've got bad news, we're gonna have to let you go", I was more excited than anything else. He wasn't sure I understood at first, but when I was straight-forward with him he kinda understood.
So w000t. Looks like I'll spend a few hours on my pony this weekend, since I'm unchained from this fucking 9-5 routine :D

There are times I really miss being out there, but... yeah. The work and hours sucked.
